The Emperor’s New Groove funny but maybe not as funny as I was led to believe, still pretty good movie though, definitely metroidvania-adjacent

maybe people do that cuz they haven't played a lot of vanias to compare it too but that couldn't possibly be true haha

000

frozen @frozen-fool.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

aside from this it's weird to me that people are complaining about it feeling more like hollow knight or dead cells when like... castlevania was there first bro. there would be no dark souls without everything that series did, it's just a natural full circle moment

frozen @frozen-fool.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

"castlevania revival but the music is kinda bad" is probably the scariest thing konami could have dropped this october

what if you wanted to believe that video essays fuckin suck and are pretentious and only serve to inflate the youtuber's ego but then nakeyjakey said hey pal me and my siblings came together and made this love letter to mods and games and coded some of our own stuff for new vegas haha check it out

Dietrich from Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave going "Captivating!" in response to being offered some food or whatever idk I forgot

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII cool and unique FF game, Lightning gets the focus she probably needed, not every single quest is fantastic or anything but I'm not really gonna complain about it too much a solid trilogy of games

I've been so normal about this the past day you have no idea... curse of darkness chads (about 3 people total) we are eating so good

Final Fantasy XIII-2 does some cool things to stand out from the first game, but the difficulty can waver too much due to its open endedness, I like Serah but Caius and especially Noel didn't impress much and the plot can be confusing, the soundtrack is awesome. finale is incredibly deflating

Final Fantasy IX awful combat, didn't really like most of the party, don't like the look of it and yeah I basically knew how I was gonna feel about it before I started it... that being said the very late game plot reveals did do just enough to prevent me from calling this game straight up bad

Fantastic Four (Mark Waid run) yeah it's pretty good, I think some arcs I wasn't always on board with but they still got the mojo of the team right, might not end up as my favorite run of the team but I still had a fun time

ff9 currently, gameplay is just awful, story isn't doing anything for me and I don't care for almost any of the characters

000

frozen @frozen-fool.bsky.social · 12/08/2026

reached the end of disk 2. I don't like this game

I fucking hate sony so much man I just wanna play tokon but no sorry the game needs 7 easy anti cheats even on launch to protect the hitboxes from being datamined or whatever

000

frozen @frozen-fool.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

Carcass - Necroticism - Descanting the Insalubrious not sure which one I prefer between this and Heartwork but it barely fuckin matters man. both albums got best in class riffage, soloing and songwriting, and moreover I was just missing some good ol fucking METAL and yeah this band always delivers

I can't be too harsh on the changes they do make cuz most of it still stays surprisingly faithful to the source material and really I just had a huge smile on my face the entire time so who cares if the symbiotes don't work exact 1 to 1 like they do in the comics

frozen @frozen-fool.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

Venom: Let There Be Carnage stupidiest fucking movie I've ever seen. it was amazing

Amazing Spider-Man Presents: Anti-Venom - New Ways To Live just wanted some context for Anti-Venom and wasn't expecting much but it was actually pretty good and somehow more in line with older Venom stuff the Punisher remains a fuckin bum

Venom: Dark Origin I sort of liked it but it does kinda contradict Eddie's origins and makes him out as more of a fraud than he probably was now that I think about it

Resident Evil 4 (2005) there's a couple enemy types and bosses I don't love but whatever it's still an epic time, looney tunes ass goofy fuckin game (affectionate)

result screen for resident evil 4 2005 that displays hit ratio of 67%, (the funnyyyy) enemies killed: 946, number of times killed: 55 and the clear time of 16 hours 51 minutes and 10 seconds
