OK, so, I have adopted a character. I've been sketching her, trying to figure out the shapes and such, and I think it's about right. She was designed by the wonderful @moorsloth.bsky.social and I plan to draw her more.

Oh hey! My coworker is actually good friends with the author of this series. Wasn't expecting one of his books to show up on here. I've heard it's good, but I worried my source was a little biased. Guess I should give it a closer look!

Maybe put some of that scale texture at the end of the nose to give some definition to its shape. Could try just the end or only along the bridge before the snoot curves downward. Play around with it till you find a look you like!

I tried out this little mydialect thing going around and they got me good. Apparently it was the mischief night, pond skimmers, sneakers, and the way I say pecan different depending on context that have it away. This thing was dead on accurate guessing where I'm from.

That'd make for a good comedy! Lol. Oh man, that brings to mind a neat game called Murdered: Soul Suspect. It has a really cool premise of the detective being the ghost while trying to solve the murder. Interesting stuff.

Another practice piece, this time I drew a ferret! She has one of those used paper towel tubes. Why? Because she likes the sound and feel of em! And it's fun to bap friends with it in a mischievous and playful manner.

Did some practice yesterday and one of the critters I drew was a bat! So far all of my friends seem to agree that the glider style wing is the expected and preferred style, but what do you all think?

A bat character with three different wing options next to him. One marked flyer has the wing incorporated as part of the hand, one marked glider has the wing attached to the arm with a separate hand, and one marked extra limb is a stand-alone wing.
