Chapter 1 of Ravenlight may be over but we'll be back SWINGING with CH2 in no time. Ch1 was very much a 'prologue' to get into events of the story (and experiment). Elise's journey has only just begun folks and I can't wait to share more!! #amwriting #fantasy #femaleprotagonist #webnovel

I think... beginning with Chapter 2 I am going to pull away from certain platforms, maybe try new ones, and definitely double down on ones that seem to be doing well.

The Chapter 1 Epilogue drops in less than 7 hours. There'll be a short break following this launch to begin planning next steps and improvements to make with Chapter 2 & beyond. My art team & I have a lot that'll be cooking up in the near future~

New thumbnail. Also added a forum, further refined the comments section and user accounts, added an FAQ, and a couple other things. After an entire weekend of messing around, this is done for awhile. I need a drink lol. froststormproductions.com

I've given my site a HUGE update finally! What's new? Why you can actually read my content ON the website now! It's a little clunky as it's a wip; BUT IT WORKS. Yes I've added Ravenlight & Soul Fall & some of my smaller projects. You can find them as sub-pages in the menu marked as "release" pages.

The epilogue to Chapter 1 is written and will deploy on the 30th. Chapter 1 has been a learning experience. 14 parts. 125 pages. 40.5k words. And that's basically just the prologue to this first saga.

Ravenlight's Chapter 1- Embers of the Past (named after the pilot) exists to introduce Elise's life. It stands to introduce the world as she sees it.

Introducing Ravenlight and the new summary I'm running with. The story follows a young girl living in a warrior clan. Follow her day to day as she has to deal with supernatural nonsense, crazy monsters, and random enemies. She fights with swords & spellbooks + likes reading. #amwriting #fantasy

Any other writers have any advice? I feel like I've been pissing in the wind for years. Only thing I've ever gotten are bots (fake likes/comments). As a writer I should write to write yeah; but I'm also trying my hardest to do more, to give people 'something' and build something ya know? #amwriting

Alexander Stormsong (Fantasy Author) @frostedsapphire.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

There might not be any Ravenlight for awhile. Work has been picking up; but honestly I don't think it matters much. Feels like I'm appealing to bots that want to sell me services rather than actual people anymore. Can't say I feel like much of a writer anymore aynyway. #amwriting

"Writers must prove they don't use AI" Nah bro, we don't have to prove anything to you technically. Innocent until proven guilty as it were for one. For two a lot of writers have enough stuff out there on their own socials if you so much as feel like looking around.

100

Alexander Stormsong (Fantasy Author) @frostedsapphire.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

Using AI Gen doesn't make you a creator. If anything you're a stubborn ass who kept reworking a prompt hoping the bot would replicate the right stuff from actual creators' works in a way that suits your wants. Even at that, the bot 'created' the work, not you.

I tell ya what- nothing quite like spending an evening researching dueling with Rapiers against other types of swords. Is Ravenlight going to be the most accurate of things? Nah- but I'll still have fun with it and I hope you will as well!! #amwriting #swordplay

New part for Ravenlight is scheduled for Thursday. Still no Chapter Art but as things begin to wind down, I'll probably start getting some commissions put in (so long as I can get back ahead on my backlog).

000

Alexander Stormsong (Fantasy Author) @frostedsapphire.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

So do I think Ravenlight's start was necessarily strong?? Well- I believe in my prologue which set the stage. I believe in Chapter 1. The start very much starts in the middle of some things that Elise is still trying to figure out, alongside her other duties. Is it much of a conventional start?

I must admit my mental health the last few months (last few weeks esp.) has been absolute hellfire on top of a pond of dog water. After wrecking myself this last week during work... idk, I'd say I could just be tired cuz I'm out of the depression vibes atm but I also feel highly motivated again.
