i bought a LSDJ cart for my gameboy and flashed it for my GBA as well, i just haven't gotten around to learning how to use it quite yet as for my GBA, i wanted to solder the controls to better suit LSDJ... i just need to learn how to do that

i'd love to revisit making chiptunes sometime. if i had ideas kdjfhg

admittedly posting any of this sort of stresses me out and i'd rather not make a big show of me having DID. but on the other hand i bet it explains a lot about uh. everything LOL

i'm not entirely sure what's going to happen going forward, whether i want to do an entire rebrand to freshen things up a bit, or keep things as is. we'll see!

- allistic. at a great cost i might add , anyway. i've been working on tracks ! only issue is i'm in a bit of a burnout rut and it's been a bit difficult to chip away at some songs when i just run out of ideas more than halfway through composing. but my workflow is much better than it was

and another part of this has been learning to unmask the fact that i'm autistic. a huge reason a lot of alters in my system existed, through splitting, was to mask our autistic traits. usually through holding onto them and existing in a quarantined space, away from the host that tried to appear -

at least two of the music aliases i used were alters in my system that *were* actually in charge of making music, that being Pulsar and Problematique but since last year, a lot of us ended up merging. it's actually been pretty good and has helped my ability to make music

and a lot of that had to do with fear of authenticity on any social media platform, a bit of an over correction with oversharing from when i was a teenager but i pretty much decided that being a "brand" was the reason i felt stifled in painting a picture of who i am through my pages

it's been a hot minute since i've posted on here / gave an update on literally any of my music pages, and the reason for that is i never really knew how to be fully authentic on FROSTALI since... well, being a system meant no one could agree on what the image of FROSTALI should be

- graphics, controls, level design, etc. to the mix and it gets even harder to pin these things down since rarely does one person have mastery in all these areas to begin with GHFDJHG that's my take, anyhow

I think what makes videogames a difficult medium for the average person to analyze and deconstruct is how much technical knowledge is required to get any specifics across. The vocabulary isn't there for the average person. Add on other elements like hardware, game physics, sound design -

I wonder if by "feels good" people kind of mean how responsive it is to player inputs + how much immediate "tactile" feedback the rest of the game gives you? Like does the environment, sound, etc. respond to your inputs in a way that makes intuitive sense?

Hopefully we'll be back at work on this passion project once I return from my abroad program :)

Hiya, Frostali is now a collective, whatever that means! Not much will be changing going forward other than some behind the scenes stuff but hopefully we'll be able to work towards making our vision a reality 🤙 See y'all on the flipside! And thanks for the support as well!
