Elixir...........hello....................
A paragraph from an Elixir programming language guide explains the logic behind naming functions "size" or "length":

"When counting the elements in a data structure, Elixir also abides by a simple rule: the function is named size if the operation is in constant time (the value is pre-calculated) or length if the operation is linear (calculating the length gets slower as the input grows). As a mnemonic, both 'length' and 'linear' start with 'l'."

Speaking personally, they reject your stupid pull requests.
The lead paragraph of a dumb blog post titled "If AI Writes All the Code, What Do the Programmers Do?"

"Eight months ago I was producing roughly 90% human written code and 10% AI written code. This has switched surprisingly rapidly and now my code is probably 90% AI. So what do I do all day?"

I had these shades for the screened porch for a while, but it was too hot to install them before Kyuperl passed. I got up early Saturday and sweated through it. Now the shades are a nice memorial letting us enjoy the porch she loved more often.
A shot of four shades around the porch with a pair of seats and hanging plants.More shades around the porch with a look at our bird-safe caged fan and love seat.Kyuperl with her wings spread wide as she perches on Sonia's finger. Behind her is the tacky lit fountain we got for the porch.

Dreading the weekend a bit with QP gone. She was my weekend buddy. I work apart from the birds during the week, so she'd sit on my shoulder for hours when she could on Saturday and Sunday.

Taking her to the vet only for her to turn out to be fine happened so often that we joked Kyuperl was a malingerer. Especially deep lore here: It's mentioned on this trading card Sonia made in 2005.
A trading card for Kyuperl. She is young and still has all her feathers, including her crest. Her face is especially yellow. She is hanging upside-down from a curtain. The text on the card follows:

Name: Kyuperl "Honey Butter" McSqueaks
Weight: 98 g
DOH: 2.14.2004
Occupation: Hypochondriacal intelligence agent.
Quote: "I think I needa go to the vet...."
Quirk: Likes to find diseases she has on WebMD. Kyuperl has diagnosed herself with four rare cacners and The Plague. She is quite the celebrity at the vet's office. Kyuperl is a Moon Chicken. She likes to eat chams and is an avid practitioner of Chicken Pilates.
Status: Malingering.

Too sad to sleep, so I'm gonna post some Kyuperl lore, see if it cheers me up. Sonia named her for Cupil, a creature/weapon from the video game Skies of Arcadia.
Cupil from the video game Skies of Arcadia. It's a floating silver blob with a beady eyes, a big smile, two little flippers, and a curled tail.

There is a lot of lore about Kyuperl. She conned Sonia into buying her instead of dog food on a trip to PetSmart, and she even forced Sonia to buy her mate Pie Mei as well. They plucked each other but were devoted.
Young Kyuperl and Pie Mei enjoy a scone in 2004. They have not yet plucked each other. Their heads are pretty large in relation to their bodies because they were so young.

dogg fuck off, try watching the show before you add trivia
An absolutely incorrect piece of IMDb trivia about the episode: "When Tony offers to stay and comfort Angela, Angela asks 'But what about soccer, what about your date?', however that date was made over the phone before Angela returned home, and no mention was made of the date in her presence."

I hate this. You aren't important enough to take up the full screen, Excel. I can see everything I need to see just fine. I know you haven't seen me scrolling much this session. Just a nuisance. Also why are you giving me this British English?
Microsoft Excel pops up a very obtrusive green balloon above the full-screen button that says, "Need more working space? Looks like your display is not optimised. Toggle FullScreen to maximise screen space."

An extremely crude edit of a panel from an Achewood comic. Roast Beef asks, "Why did you send a check for $10,000 to Hideo Kojima?"

Amazing comment from someone who has to be at least 70 years old to not only know/care about the Legion of Super-Heroes but to also be salty about Wolverine's superficial similarity to Timber Wolf.

Simplified the example a tiny bit to focus on the relevant parts, including changing the signature of GetReportData a bit to eliminate the local. Hint: Returning an IEnumerable<object> from a function that promises a List<object> should be a compile-time error. So why isn't that the case?

Running a tabletop game? Run out of time to prep and need your players to burn time arguing with each other so you can improvise at the table? Consider giving their characters a device that can make explosives from blood.
A description of a magitech device called a "dynacardium filter" that turns the blood of sentient beings into explosives. I made this for a sci-fi/fantasy True20 campaign.
