Canada’s economy is stagnating due to excessive government intervention, carbon taxes, and investment favouritism, The government must actively assist essential projects, lower carbon taxes further, and make all capital investment fully tax-deductible. #cdnpoli

Alberta's referendum on separation presents a constitutional question beyond economic costs and benefits. Separatists must consider what political institutions would replace the Canadian system and how an independent Alberta would protect liberty, representation, and responsible government. #ABpoli

Troubling numbers of Canadians and Americans have begun to regard one another with hostility and misunderstanding. Some people contrast a US defined by rugged individualism, free markets, and limited government with a collectivist Canada. But the countries remain much alike. #CDNpoli #USpoli

Hudson Bay is an untapped means to ship oil and gas to Europe. Alberta gas sells for $1.37/GJ but Europe buys for $36. The profit potential is clear. The route from Hudson Bay to Europe is 3,000 km shorter than from the US Gulf Coast. Year-round navigation is feasible with ice-class ships. #LNG

International student visas to Canada have been capped, but the main flaws remain. The program must be separated from work and immigration by barring students from working off campus, scrapping post-graduation work permits and barring permanent residency for students. #studentvisa #cdnpoli

Hudson Bay offers Canada a shorter route to European markets. Indigenous-led development of Churchill and Port Nelson could expand LNG exports, strengthen Arctic sovereignty, create prosperity in Manitoba and build a more united and resilient Canadian federation. #LNG

The average family pays 42% of its income in taxes, compared with 35% on housing, food and clothes. Ottawa bailed out wealthy BC condo developers. US tariffs remain. Health care lineups are long. Home ownership remains out of reach for many. Bills C-9 and 34 infringe further on free speech. #cdnpoli
