To be fair there's a quote missing from the interview which at least for me contextualizes it in a slightly better light?

A little doodle from a waiting room.

Pen and crayon drawing of a bunny in a red and blue dress. The bunny has red hair in a bob style haircut and big red sunglasses that cover most of her face. I used blue crayon for shadows and yellow crayon for light.

Body horror probably. Art from 2020

A bald head with frosty blue translucent skin faces the viewer. Thick eyebrows over tired eyes. The scalaria is blue/green the irises are a combination of yellow, gold, orange and green and the pupils are red with black dots in the center.
There is a complicated network of red tubes behind the head that comes and connects to it in the sides of its neck. Red liquid is flowing in and through the face you can see a bubbly liquid slowly filling up.
There are red tubes going into the top of the head. There are blue circuit boards with red lines all over them. Across the forehead of the face is the word warning in red block letter outlines

Some silly Gravity Falls x Full Metal Alchemist fanart.

Bill Cipher as King Bradley swishing his swords around. His eye is covered entirely by an eye patch.

Mabel Pines is currently inhabiting the armor from FMA and tried to put her shooting Star sweater on. Dipper Help!

Rough sketches of the suit of armor from FMA dreaming of Mabel's star sweater and dipper as Ed with a pine tree on his back instead of the serpent cross thing.

I was thinking about anime that there's no real way to legally stream and Full Metal Hamtaro was born.

Comic from around 2020. There are things I would do differently if I made this comic now, but I still like the vibe.

Panel 1: A rabbit is drinking coffee and looks exhausted. The sun is shining through the slats of the window blinds. Text: I was tired all the time and coffee wouldn't work.

Panel 2: bunny in shadow looking sideways at the sun outside. Text: so

Panel 3: bunny's mouth wide open consuming the sun. Text: I ate the sun!

Panel 4: bunny is now radiating energy. Her eyes are glowing. The earth is cracking underneath her like lava is about to explode from the ground.
Text: now I have all the energy I need

An older piece from around 2020ish. A friend's D&D character from a campaign we were doing in a homebrew setting. He was a necromancer.

Done mostly in grayscale, with red to create pops of color. A man with a cloak and plague doctor mask. The eyes on the mask are red. Under the cloak you can see a skeletal ribcage. His hand is reaching out towards the viewer as he casts crown of stars. Red stars float above him. The cloak and hand are lit slightly by the glowing red stars.

Woten DX: Traveller's Dream comes out some time in 2025 (baring unforeseen difficulties). The Dev describes it as wario land meets cave story. I played the original woten back when it was a part of the Humble Monthly Bundle and enjoyed it a lot! It definitely gave me Warioland 2 vibes.

A young Viking is exploring what looks like a Greek temple. There are some blobby guys, some fruit and some cassette tapes in the image.

I'm looking forward to Urbano: Legend's Debut. I played the demo a year ago and it was a lot of fun. A rhythm game inspired by The World Ends With You and Persona!

A bunch of anime people posing dramatically against a city background. A masculine presenting person (I don't know their pronouns) with glasses is smiling ominously in the sky.

I finally got the last volume of cul-de-sac by Richard Thompson as a belated birthday gift. This was one of my favorite newspaper comics while it was still running.

A little girl named Alice is holding up the world. The words "The Mighty Alice" are on the earth. All the oceans and land masses are labeled "mine". On the left side is her brother saying "she's going to drop it. On the right side her mom is saying "Alice! Put that back where you found it!"

I picked up Solotorobo when it first came out. The North American box art is less spoilery than the EU's. Because of that I was surprised by the second half and enjoyed it a lot. Chances of a remake are slim, but it would be pretty cool if that happened.

Solotorobo Red the Hunter
A dog boy riding on a mech and a cat girl standing next to them. In the background are islands floating in the sky and some kind of boat with wings.

Natsu-Mon plays well in the Steam Deck.

A little boy with a bug net running along concrete. Sunflowers are in the foreground and a lighthouse on a hill is in the background next to the ocean. Text in the top right corner says Natsu-Mon 20th Century Summer Kid

Part 4. The white space of the "comic" had been filled in with different shades of blue to make the white hand stand out more. All the panels have a little bit of a shadow underneath them to make them feel like they're each their own separate world.

010

Frogsocks @frogsocks.bsky.social · 21/09/2024

Part 3. 3 more panels to describe.

Below the city panel and the lighthouse panels there are 7 more panels. On the left there is a panel of a cyborg man with his fake skin pealing as he works on the electronics in his arm. He is wearing a shirt that says Memento Mori and he has the word "restart" painted on his other arm in big black letters. There are lots of warning lights flashing on different screens behind him.

Directly below the cyborg panel there is a wide eyed man with his back to the sea. He is looking up in the direction of the white hand.

To the right of the cyborg panel are two panels that the white hand's fingers are drifting past. One is a black panel with error 404. The other is a peacock wearing a red blindfold. The tail's "eyes" are all looking up at the hand.

110

Frogsocks @frogsocks.bsky.social · 21/09/2024

Part 2. 7 more panels to describe.

To the right of the city and the hand are 3 panels, 1 horizontal with 2 vertical panels underneath it. The horizontal panel has a shack like from the dust bowl and one of those squeaky metal fans you'd find in a western. The bottom two panels are 1) a tall blue lighthouse cast in shadow against a red sky. There are red clouds and the moon in the background and red fog in the foreground. 2) a close up of a red lighthouse. Its light is touching the coral pink clouds that surround it and the sky is black.

The piece is done, the alt text won't all fit into the alt text box so I'm going to try and make a thread to hold the rest of it.

A pale white hand has breached the apocalyptic panel is is a part of. On its forearm are the eyes of different animals and on its wrist there are gears of different sizes and shapes. In the center of one gear is a blue eye with a tiny black pupil staring at the viewer. Some kind of liquid is dripping from the index and middle finger. In the liquid of the index finger is an eyeball.

The hand is reaching past a city scape. The glass of the buildings are purple. The sky is yellow with coral pink clouds hanging in the distance.

On the left side of the arm are two panels. One is a grey crane with a yellow plume with its wings in the air and feathers flying off of it. The other panel is a man sitting unconcerned in his boat on the water as he floats away from the arm. The sea is stormy and the sky is red.

On the right side of the arm is a panel of a man wearing a light violet dress shirt with his back to the viewer. He is surrounded by slowly dieing sunflowers.

I managed to complete two more panels tonight. I've learned some things about how I like to use the markers to try and convey a mood.

Two panels. One has a blue lighthouse partially cast in shadow in front of a black ocean. Lots of red clouds cover the sky. They are lit by the yellow moon. panel 2 has a close up of the light in a red lighthouse with red clouds in a black sky. The red clouds are lit by the lighthouse.

Progress so far. I have some copic white ink I want to figure out how to use so I'm messing around on another sheet of paper. It would probably help if I got actual pens instead of trying to use the little brush inside the bottle.

These are the games I've played this month. Genshin I play pretty consistently. I like wuwa's battle mechanics more, but I'm invested in the characters in Genshin more so far. Eldin Ring as always is kicking my butt. Lumbearjack was a chill time that didn't overstay its welcome.

Tried to draw the jackalope wife from T. Kingfisher’s Jackalope Wives. I think I leaned too far into the rabbit side and not enough into the human side. I tried to fix it with hair, but it’s still not quite what I wanted.
