Home ownership is spending 5 days converting a room from carpet to vinyl planking in between going to work and plans with family

Before: a dining room that had old purple carpet

During: fresh 3/8” plywood sheeting laid down on top of unseen poorly worn hardwood, prepping for the final planks

After: a dining room with the carpet removed and replaced with vinyl tongue and groove planks with a transition and quarter round finish

New Thing in the house, to replace years of tinkering with older versions by different brands of same Thing. New Thing just works, no fuss, no turning leveling knobs and getting nozzle temperatures wrong. It just works.
