#Kinktober no.1 - FEAR You know his movements and mannerisms as well as you know his voice; you can tell he's in one of his foul moods. Maybe if you lay still he'll think you're already asleep... though that's never stopped him before. #StanleyCrowe #Halloween

Stanley Crowe laying in bed, a fearful expression on their face as they pull the sheets up close. Paolo is standing next to the bed, taking his shirt off and glaring down at Stanley.

I'm doing a Toxic Kinktober, featuring scenes from both of Stanley Crowe's relationships - their toxic, abusive ex-boyfriend Paolo Parapinini & their healthy, loving new boyfriend Menlo Kipnis. Which prompts will apply to who? You'll find out this Spooky Month 🎃 #Kinktober #NSFW #StanleyCrowe

A poster for Kinktober 2026 featuring a vibrantly-colored painting of my sona, Fright the jester looking manky and sinister. The prompts are:

1.Fear
2.Rage
3.Quickie
4.Vulnerable
5.Pain=Love
6.Pain=Hate
7.Sorrow
8.Ropes
9.Chains
10.Burn
11.Slice
12.Blood
13.Why?
14.Fragile
15.Broken
16.Tired
17.Degrade
18.Numb
19.Fist
20.Afterglow
21.Gaslight
22.Gag
23.Limit
24.Sadist
25.Masochist
26.Scar
27.Rip
28.Chains
29.Trust
30.Safe

These will be featuring both the toxic, abusive relationship between Stanley and Paolo (where Paolo treats Stanley terribly) and the healthy, loving relationship between Stanley and Menlo (where Stanley tries to cope with being treated well by Menlo).

These will feature a lot of disturbing, problematic and potentially triggering depictions of abuse (both mental physical) as well as graphic depictions of consensual sadomasochistic sex. Viewer discretion is advised.

These prompts are free for anyone to use, BTW ;3

One of my goals with Stanley Crowe is to get more people interested in traditional animation & help keep it alive as an art form 🎃 (FTR the animated promo banner down there is the last instance of these two being colored digitally I plan on making). #Animation #StanleyCrowe #IndieAnimation

A brightly-colored disclaimer card for Stanley Crowe. It reads:

Stanley Crowe is lovingly crafted by HUMAN hands using 100% traditional animation - Pencils, Paper, Ink, Paint & Cells.

You can help keep traditional cell painting alive by supporting this series.

Cheers, my lovelies!

A commission from about a year ago of Stanley & Menlo publicly pilloried. This is something I was already planning to have happen to these two nerds in a future episode, so it's nice to know folks already wanna see it XD I had a LOT of fun designing these stocks. #StanleyCrowe #Bondage #Animation

Stanley Crowe and Menlo Kipnis pilloried in cat-themed stocks. Stanley seems non-plussed, while Menlo is struggling & gagged.

⚠️ DOMESTIC ABUSE ⚠️ My morning sketch took a dark turn today with exploring more of the toxic relationship between Stanley Crowe & Paolo Parapinini. Paolo really is just the worst boyfriend ever, I hope you'll all grow to hate him as much as I do 😜 #StanleyCrowe #IndieAnimation #Animation

Paolo violently grabbing his partner Stanley's wrist while raising his other hand threateningly. He's leaning forward and hissing "Stanley, I swear to God. I swear to FUCKING God...". Stanley is clearly scared and in pain, using their free hand to grip the arm Paolo is using to squeeze Stanley's wrist.

THIS. I enjoy digital art just fine, but I loathe the way the industry treated it as a replacement for traditional animation instead of just another way of doing things. I love traditional animation and I'm doing my meager best to keep the old techniques alive with my own cartoons.

⚠️DOMESTIC ABUSE⚠️ Meet Wormwood the Jester: Juggler, bartender, enabler, and the worst buddy a sweetie like Stanley can have. Check the alt. text for the full description ;3 SUPPORT THE CARTOON HERE - patreon.com/jfrancisfright #StanleyCrowe #Animation #Clown #IndieAnimation

Meet Jack McConnell AKA Wormwood the Jester: Juggler, bartender, enabler, and the worst buddy a sweetie like Stanley can have. He'll listen to their problems, but he won't really care. He'll encourage all that's worst in Stanley, while blaming them for their own pain. He plies Stanley with drinks, worsening their alcoholism and actively preventing them from leaving or taking any other action that might be healthy.

Wormwood is a callous, mean-spirited lowlife, and the closest thing to a friend Stanley has in the circus.

The character sheet depicts him as a jester with a green-and-black costume, accessorized with yellow gloves, tie and nose, all topped off with a messy puff of neon green hair. He's unshaven and wears pop-bottle glasses.

He's juggling billiard balls in one scene, and in the other he's pouring a drink for Stanley, who's sitting at the bar & crying while nursing a black eye. Unsympathetic, Wormwood mockingly asks:
"Another... "ARGUMENT" with Paolo, eh? HEH HEH HEH... No worries mate, I got you". What a prick.

Where would a successful toxic man be without his enablers? Meet Stitch, Scratch and Wormwood: three clowns who work in Paolo's Twilight Playground and act as toadies for his very worst behavior. Full ref. sheets for these three coming soon! #StanleyCrowe #InternationalClownWeek #Clown #Jester

Three wicked clowns standing in a row.
Stitch, a portly tailor holds a needle and thread with a devilish sneer on his face.
Scratch, a tall doctor in a long pink lab coat stands hunched over, glaring at the viewer with a foul expression.
Wormwood, a sloppy, bespectacled drunk, wobbles unsteadily on his feet, waving a whiskey bottle around.

a 4-panel storyboard of Stanley Crowe putting on a blade-throwing show for the circus. Paolo the ringmaster / their boyfriend is riling the crowd up.
"Can you BELIEVE it, folks? I didn't think you could FIT that many knives on one bull's eye!"
"C'mon now, let's hear some more love for the BEAUTIFUL blade master, STANLEY CROWE!"

Paolo is ominously confronting Stanley about them drinking before the show.
"Stanley darling... WHAT did I tell you about drinking before the show?"
"Don't you dare lie to me, I can tell. Look at that board, your grouping is SHIT."
"Ah, well, we'll... DISCUSS that later. C'mon, time for the grand finale."

Paolo is a brilliant artist & a consummate performer, but he's also self-consumed piece of shit who doesn't deserve Stanley. This type of callousness is fundamental to his character, and the ramifications it has on his partner are something I plan on exploring a lot in the series.
