A circular, vignetted high resolution image of a fungus gnat or similar species. You can make out the neck portion where the head attaches to their distinct hunchback. There are small wrinkles below the neck. Bristles everywhere, including between the ommatidia of the compound eyes. And a grey round structure next to the eye, which does not look like an occellus to me, but who am I to judge.

Who is 4.5 years old, has 600 daughters and 500 eggs ready to go for spring? This queen carpenter ant. I’ve known this bug longer than some people— and I like her better.

NO lightsaber duel or space dogfight in Star Wars will ever go as hard as Stellan Skarsgård going: "I’ve made my mind a sunless space ... I’m condemned to use the tools of my enemy to defeat them ... I burn my life to make a sunrise that I know I’ll never see ... So what do I sacrifice? Everything!”

Happy Mothering Sunday!
Happy Mothering Sunday!

Title: Just in time for Mother's Day: Classic literature with added Mums

Panel 1: Moby Dick
"Ahab! Moby! Enough of this nonsense. Apologise to each other and if you can't get along, stay apart." says Ahab's mother, standing in a little boat and looking sternly into Moby's eye, while her son sits chastened behing her.

Panel 2: Casino Royale.
"Vodka martini, shaken not stirred... And a sweet sherry for my mother."
says James Bond. His mother calls over from their table "Just a little one."

Panel 3: The Lord of the Rings.
"You can look for your ring after you tidy your room and walk the dog, Sauron."
says Sauron's mother, holding out the dog lead to her son, who replies "Aw, mum!".

It says: "After you"

From its left another number is approaching, with its leading digit also having eyes, arms and a mouth.

But the number is 3.1415…
