Haha my internet brain commonly forgets people actually go out and do things like a literal tour

I totally misread this as a setup for a Justin Timberlake punchline. 😭 Genuinely sorry you’re suffering!

I’ll bite. ..What tour?

The cool lesbians in high school loved them and I had to see what the fuss was about. Now I’m also cool and gay. I saw them for The Con anniversary and a lady in the crowd was like WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO PLAY SOME HAPPY SONGS?! Wrong tour babes

The 2022 vinyl of So Jealous where they switched vocal parts is one of my most cherished possessions. Such formative music for me

I had a group interview over Zoom and one of the candidates answered the call while getting a haircut. Legitimately saw him getting razored and his bangs cut.

Swinging! I’m a swinger, Bella.

I’m joyously swinging in the backyard of a suburban home at golden hour. I’m at the peak of my swing with my hair blown back. I’m wearing vintage looking blue shades, a teal tank top, light blue knit shirt, black shorts, and no socks.

I was comparing thread to fabric samples in a Michael’s when everyone’s phones started playing a tornado warning siren. If I could pick, I’d much rather be dying in a JoAnn Fabrics. RIP (but not to me, I made it home okay)

There's almost something old internet about it. Blogs and early social media where there was a long scroll until you got to the end of what a page could show you. It works for me because it's so clean. I viewed it on desktop so I'm not sure what the mobile experience is but it makes me want to read.

Trying to extend the benefit of the doubt but the lack of response to following up doesn’t bode well 😬

Thank you! Cute and very functional. 😊

The bowl from the post holding a pile of clear, different colored sewing clips. Can fit a lot more clips in this baby.

Cody @friendly.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

My bowl is back from the pottery painting place and it’s cute!

A ceramic bowl with cartoon cat legs propping up the bottom, a tail on the back, and a little fish on the front. The bowl is painted with what I believe are oxides that explode in color when they’re fired. The bowl’s inside is white with many orange and blue circles. The outside is a pink color with lots of blue and purple dots. The tail is yellow with a few small dots of color and the feet are a simple, regular orange.

Each part has a lot of little black dots which I think are colors that didn’t pop. Perhaps old paint?

It's not enough to be against AI, you need to be pro art. You need to be a champion of the art you love, you need to share that passion and joy, and do what you can to support the artists who make it, because it's not enough to hate AI, to hate what it's doing to art and media; you gotta love.

LOVE this song. She really turned the live performances where she sampled and looped her own woo-ooo noise live.

Cody @friendly.bsky.social · 12/07/2026

I remembered I have free will and love dill pickles.

On a wooden cutting board sits a big homemade pickle pizza. It has a layer of olive oil infused with garlic, lemon, and dill and a blend of three white cheeses. There’s a somewhat golden yellow hue in places and I assume that’s because then oil rose into the cheese.

Cat sitting for some little beauties

Luna, a black cat with bright green eyes and one ear much shorter than the other following a surgery to clear an infection, lays on a tiered cat bed with big happy eyes staring into the camera.

Agreed. I’ve saved a bit of every fabric I’ve ever used and part of me would want to use a piece of each but the conceptualizing is.. a lot for many reasons.

A burial quilt for yourself, or a current quilt WIP? Honestly that as a project would feel so satisfying I think

100

Cody @friendly.bsky.social · 07/07/2026

Definitely! It was surprising walking through a historical exhibit and being like oh wait, I recognize this person from online and they’re currently alive and still creating cool stuff.

Cody @friendly.bsky.social · 06/07/2026

Saw a burial quilt by Zak Foster at the Henry Ford today. Really neat (and beautiful!) concept.

On a museum wall hangs a beautiful quilt with yellows, blues, whites, and floral greens. The pattern has a suggestion of upward arrow shapes without being too angular or geometric. To the right of quilt hanging is a television monitor showing a burial quilt in use wrapped around a laying, humanoid form in a forest. There’s an informational stand in front with notes about the artist, Zak Foster, and general education about what a green burial is and how the quilts are used for them.

Finally have enough cookies for the “my husband travels a lot for work” no bake cake

A glass baking dish loaded with whipped cream and Delta cookies laid out in rows and alternating in upward and downward DELTA letters. A red spatula lays to the side of the dish. The cake is two layers deep with 4x3 layers of cookies that fit perfectly.

We have someone deep cleaning our home for the first time. So scared they’re hiding together downstairs.

Two scared cats, an orange and white mix and a tuxedo Maine Coone, hide under a chaise lounge in cute apprehension looking at the camera.

Cody @friendly.bsky.social · 18/06/2026

Yeahhhh. I’ve been listening to it as I clean the house today and have been much milder about it than I expected. Maybe it would’ve hit harder if I were younger. Nothing clearly bad or off-putting about it for me but it‘s not hooking me as I listen.
