This Sunday makes 94 years since this was published. In 1931, Thalia Massie, wife of a U.S. Navy lieutenant, LIED and claimed she was raped by a group of local men after leaving a nightclub ultimately resulting in the revenge murder of the well-known local prizefighter Joseph Kahahawai.

Today is my birfday and my mommy got me a Dream Cake!!!

Zippy's gym cake is a Hawaiian specialty of three layers of chocolate chiffon cake filled with whipped cream and covered in hand shaved milk chocolate shavings. It's a popular choice for birthdays and other celebrations. Zippy's introduced the cake around 1983, but removed it from the regular menu in 2020 due to its labor intensive nature period it's still available by ordering a head.

Saturday at the capitol. We did a little marching, too. There was a rad metal band playing, a free snacks and water table, a tent with markers and cardboard for people to make signs, a dude with cool free bumper stickers (I got Solidarity Forever) and Free Palestine and Fuck ICE buttons.
