I can relate to this, mostly because that was a big struggling point of getting back into writing. I usually end up rewriting the beginning quite a few times after I get through the bulk of the draft.

So I was indecisive and used a wheel picker to see who I write about since I have 10 OCs to choose from. The results were: Camilla x Melody (classic) Camilla x Selkie (canon) Camilla x Luna (cozy) At that point I stopped, because if I got Camilla for a fourth pair, this wheel is rigged.

It occured to me that I don't think I ever showed off Freya's design, even though I could have sworn I posted her to Bluesky. Maybe I have, maybe I haven't. She's super fluffy. 🎨: @/spooklettevt.bsky.social

Freya is the genderbent version of Frey and shares a lot of similarities to the base design. She has white hair that's styled with two large braids, and has little beads woven throughout. She has blue eyes and a pair of antennae fashioned after a poodle moth.

Her outfit is a deep blue tunic with a fur mantled cloak, corset, and mini skirt. She has a pair of knee-high socks and leather boots. Across her chest is the strap for a satchel off to her left side.

She has visible fluff on her thighs, neck, and cleavage.

Roughly 4,000 words of lore finally written More than I've done in a long time, and it feels good. Sometimes if you're just not up to it, step back for a bit and approach it again after some time. Rough draft? Uh, yeah, it sure is, spend that time polishing after it's done, you're doing just fine.
