To be clear, this mindset is dumb and stupid and I know it is. I drew this for an art class and liked it! I think i turned out well for being only 3 months into drawing at all. But it really hurts to see stuff like this next to the monstrosites in your sketchbook.

For this we use the following equation, where I_0 is the initial intensity (1000), mu is the linear attenuation coefficient, and x is our linear thickness (torso length).
