Chris @freshcoaster.bsky.social · 15/10/2026That’s most sports programming outside of football. Adult males under 60 are the hardest demographic to penetrate with advertising, so it all gets shotgunned into the few areas that are known to work (talk radio, sports, podcasts, etc.) 020 2
Chris @freshcoaster.bsky.social · 15/10/2026Used to be restaurant food, but I think the reliance on unsustainable labor is going away. The affordability and availability of certain restaurant models are going away with it, but not necessarily a bad thing. 010 1

Chris @freshcoaster.bsky.social · 12/10/2026Kind of an afterthought when i was younger but that movie has aged like fine wine, as a dark comedy and social satire. You understand a whole different layer of it as an adult. 120 2

Chris @freshcoaster.bsky.social · 07/10/2026California educators are opposing the billionaire tax (or at least some of them) because all the new revenue would be earmarked for healthcare and not education. These land mines for niche taxes shouldn’t be unexpected. 120 2

The allergy to multifamily housing comes with hidden externalities and costs, aging in place being among them. 010 1

Chris @freshcoaster.bsky.social · 02/10/2026There’s probably some way that can be quantified in terms of cost/value for campaign spending. Sometimes it can require tens of millions in advertising and outreach to counter a certain magnitude of social media presence and messaging. 000 0
