Apparently Tanzania plays the violin. This took a while to draw, and I had to check a ref for the musical instrument half way through. Even then it's still not that great. I learned that i cannot even hold my arm and hand in the manner shown in the web images I looked at, of people holding one.

The crew were aloft, waiting the trill of the bosuns #whistle. They sprang into action, as Mr Fang threw his weight against the wheel and the ship ponderously began to turn. “You’re oversteering!” chastised Zai. She eyed the situation aloft. A minor disaster involving the topsail was developing.

Zai stood by her helmsman, who stared straight ahead in uncomfortable silence. His massive paws gripped the spokes of the ships huge steering wheel. Zai studied the sails. Some captains were quick to damn any minor errors. That was not Zai’s #style. “Steady as she goes, Mr. Fang!” She said simply.

Dawn. The sun, a glowing orb on the horizon. Leaning on the wood rail, Zai sniffed the wind. she could #smell the rains of Africa, the dust from the Sahara, every atom of salt in all the water crossed by these zephyrs. One does not take a 500 ton ship sailing for #pleasure. Today it was tempting.

These were done in Procreate which seems to do pretty well on my iPad. It has a lot of fun brushes, and the interface is pretty simple. I like to use stuff like this for thumbnails and things like that. Psycho-horse might be a watch face.

Sketch in Art Rage, which seems to me like it works better on a PC. I loved the app on my old x51 Think Pad tablet. Not thrilled with it on my fairly new iPad.
