Im currently taping up a third (3!) pants sloper pattern. #2 was almost right, but then I tried to sit down. (If it weren't a mockup, I would be embarrassed. ) Anyways, @freesewing.eu - your paper registration marks for taping are 1st class!

Wired has an article about all the ways Europe is moving away from US tech: www.wired.com/story/all-th... They compiled a timeline of migrations so I opened it because I was curious. Did not expect to see @freesewing.eu as the second entry on that list. Thanks for the shout-out Wired 😅

I am unreasonably smug that the cream pants I sewed for Baz are what he chose to wear for graduation AND for a first date. Thanks, @freesewing.org ! I need to make more... sometime.

This is the Simon shirt from @freesewing.org. It’s cool, you put in your measurements and it creates a pattern customized for you. You can choose a lot of details about it, from the amount of ease around various parts to the style of cuffs, plackets, collar, etc. Highly recommended!

There's a lot of other new stuff in the #FreeSewing backend too, but most people are obviously be more focussed on the frontend, aka our new website which is a complete rewrite. Here's a post outlining some of the new features: freesewing.org/blog/welcome...

As part of our v3 migration, I have setup a Mastodon instance for #FreeSewing at freesewing.social It's open for the community at large. There's an approval step, but that's just to keep the trolls at bay. Announcement here: freesewing.org/blog/announc...

Note that FreeSewing (as well as myself) will also leave that bird site. In addition to Mastodon/Fediverse we've also setup camp here (as @freesewing.org) so hopefully wherever you get your news, you'll find us.

For the last ... checks notes ... 14 months I've been working on the next major release of FreeSewing. That is done now, and (the completely new) FreeSewing.org now runs v3. There's a ton of new stuff, so I'll link to this umbrella post with an overview: freesewing.org/blog/v3-umbr... #FreeSewing
