A sign of life from me with a throwback to October 2024: Sailing into the golden hour at Marina di Pisa, Tuscany, Italy. Did I already mention I fell in love with Pisa? #photography #landscape #seascape #travel #tuscany #italy #pisa #marina #sunset #goldenhour #sky #peace

A vertical photograph of a sailboat silhouetted against a brilliant orange and gold sunset. The large, glowing sun sits just above the horizon, casting a shimmering path of light across the rippling surface of the ocean. In the foreground, a dark, craggy breakwater of rocks occupies the lower third of the frame, with a small pool of water reflecting the light at the very bottom. The sailboat, with its tall mast and rigging, is centered in the frame, capturing a peaceful and serene maritime atmosphere. The color palette is dominated by warm amber, deep oranges, and dark shadows.

Details of September: A spider web catching the golden glow of the morning light ✨ #photography #nature #detail #morning #september #spiderweb

A close-up, shallow-depth-of-field photograph of an intricate, circular spider web catching the warm, golden light of a sunrise or sunset. The web is covered in tiny droplets of dew or frost, making it shimmer against the background. It is attached to tall, dry, brownish-yellow grass in the foreground. The background is softly blurred, showing a gravel path and green field in muted earthy tones.

September skies are just next level. ✨ My view when I'm doing my walks. You just have to see the beauty around you. The village of Gehlenbeck in front of the Wiehengebirge in Lübbecke. #photography #landscape #sky #clouds #germany #rural #village

A wide-angle landscape captures a serene rural scene at twilight. In the foreground, a large field of harvested, golden-brown grain stretches across the bottom of the frame. Beyond the field, a line of dark green trees and dense foliage marks a boundary with rolling, forested hills in the distance. The upper two-thirds of the image are dominated by an expansive, dramatic sky filled with thick, textured clouds. These clouds are beautifully lit by a hidden sun, showing a gradient of pale yellow, orange, and soft grey, which transitions into deep blue and purple tones toward the top of the image.

A wide landscape shot of a rural village at twilight. In the foreground, a vibrant green grassy field leads to a row of houses with diverse architecture, including some with distinctive red-tiled roofs, nestled among green trees. Behind the village, a dense, dark green forest rises up a gentle hill. The expansive sky is filled with thick, textured clouds in shades of deep purple and grey, illuminated by golden and orange hues from the setting sun near the horizon.

Mooo! Ever did a staring contest with a group of cows? 🫪 #photography #nature #cow #cows #fun #pasture

A group of reddish-brown cows grazes in a lush green pasture. In the foreground, two large cows stand facing the camera directly; the cow on the right is positioned closer to the viewer, while the cow on the left stands slightly further back. Scattered throughout the middle ground are several other cows and calves of the same color, some standing and others facing away. The pasture features vibrant green grass with a wide patch of dark, churned mud in the center. In the background, a dense wall of green corn stalks borders the field, separated by a thin wire fence.

My contribution to #FensterFreitag: Water mill in my little village. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! #photography #architecture #window #watermill

A vertical, medium shot of a rustic stone building featuring an old wooden water wheel. The upper half of the image shows a wall constructed from irregular, earth-toned stones in shades of tan, gray, and brown. In the center of the wall is a small, white-framed window with four textured glass panes. Below the wall, a large, weathered wooden water wheel sits in a shaded area. Water pours from a wooden chute, splashing into the spokes of the wheel. The wheel is dark, wet, and shows significant wear and moss. The lighting is soft, highlighting the rough textures of the stone wall and the aged timber of the water wheel, evoking a historical, industrial atmosphere.

It's these magical moments that keep you sane in a crazy world ✨ Marina di Pisa, Tuscany, Italy #photography #sky #autumn #travel #peace #sunset #landscape #seascape #people #tuscany #italy

A young person stands on a large, flat rock atop a jagged shoreline of dark gray boulders, facing away from the camera toward the vast ocean. They have their arms outstretched to the sides in a gesture of freedom or embrace. The individual is wearing a gray oversized hoodie and blue floral shorts. The scene is set at sunset, with the sky filled with wispy clouds painted in vibrant shades of deep purple, soft pink, and glowing orange. These colors reflect across the surface of the calm water, creating a peaceful and awe-inspiring atmosphere.

Since I'm somewhat limited in my ability to go photographing at the moment (after shoulder surgery) here's one from the archives. Taken on an evening walk. I hope you all are doing well! ✌️ #photography #landscapephotography #sunset #sky #clouds

A vertical photograph captures a narrow asphalt road receding into the distance toward a large, solitary tree in a rural landscape. The scene is set during a dramatic sunset, with the sky displaying a vibrant gradient of colors: a fiery orange and yellow glow at the horizon transitions into layers of magenta and pink clouds, eventually reaching a deep, dark blue at the top. To the right of the path is a field of tall, golden corn stalks, while the left side features a green grassy field. The warm light of the setting sun illuminates the tree and the surrounding vegetation, creating a peaceful and atmospheric scene.

Heidesee in Müden/Örtze (Faßberg), Northern Germany during sunset time. Ideally I would have captured the sun as well but I was too late and it already hid behind the treeline. Anyways, I'll take what I can get 🌅 #photography #landscape #travel #lake #water #sky #reflection #sunset #symmetry

This horizontal landscape photograph captures a moment of tranquil symmetry at dusk or dawn. The image is split nearly in half by a calm body of water that acts as a mirror, reflecting the scene above with remarkable clarity.

In the center, a dense line of lush green trees stretches across the horizon, interspersed with a few small houses nestled among the foliage. The low sun, positioned just off-camera to the right, bathes the tops of the trees in a brilliant, warm orange and golden glow. This fiery light contrasts sharply with the deep greens of the forest and the cool tones of the water.

Above the tree line, the sky is a soft, pale blue, streaked with long, wispy white clouds that run horizontally across the frame. The entire composition conveys a sense of peacefulness and stillness, emphasizing the "golden hour" lighting that makes the scene appear almost painterly.

You don't always have to travel far away to experience the beautiful nature. Sometimes it's right around the corner. This is the Elseaue in Kirchlengern, only about half an hour away from my home. #photography #nature #landscape #pond #sunset #forest #woodland

A serene scene where the sun sets through a canopy of trees. The tall, narrow trunks frame a glassy body of water that perfectly reflects the brilliant orange and yellow glow of the setting sun.

Why I love clouds? They instantly make a scene more interesting. Also I would love to have some clouds in the sky today blocking the sun 😅 Quiet evening at the Mittelland-Kanal in Lübbecke three years ago. #photography #landscape #nature #germany #clouds #trees #sky #sunset

A long, straight canal reflects a vibrant sunset sky filled with swirling pink and orange clouds. On the left, an unpaved path runs alongside tall greenery, bordered by deciduous trees lining the waterway.
