I like that my Japanese learning allows me to read it. 😋🍮

I hope so too. 😔🙏 Oh is that one of those reversible octopus plushies at the bottom, where you flip it and it has an angy face? I have this calico one. 🥰

woah, you have a Long Bee! :O She sold a new batch of them not long ago, but it showed as "out of stock" in the UK (I know some places don't sell plushies here any more, because of a regulation or tax thing). 😭

Just a little guy. Little feelers almost look like a tiny moustache. 🥰

Reminds me of the Coke generated images add, responding to the backlash by showing the people "working" on it. It had clearly generated images for storyboards, and clips of people drawing on top of generated images. In their attempt at damage control, they just embarrassed themselves even more. 🫠

I suppose you could get to work on it now, and have it mostly done for EC's release, then make additions / alterations based on any updates you see.

Oh no, even the VA isn't safe from getting his shins wrecked. 😂 I have a humble request. Please have a bit where Eclipse does the "my leg" screams in the background, like in Spongebob. 😌🙏 www.youtube.com/watch?v=hv6Y...

Thanks, that suddenly reminded me of the interview clips I saw, and I just looked it up again. Like openly venting, saying that the characters - and by extension, the author - were clearly psychotic. 😂

That's the great thing about being a skilled creator. If you're unhappy with what others have made, you can get up and be like...

Hehe I think I remember doing that. In Mario 64, you've got Mario crawling like a baby, and in OOT, you have this. On a related note, it's funny how much reverence BotW gives the Hylian shield, making it feel rare and special, meanwhile in OOT, you just buy it in a shop. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If your goal is visible gains, try doing some sets with a weight that you can only lift about 5-6 times. I learned that the biggest muscle fibres are only worked during really high effort - i.e. reaching failure after very few reps. That's why body builders prioritise big weights so much.

Like seriously, all these world events, and they haven't changed at all? Even if all that stuff happened in the span of 1-2 years, they would've grown / changed at least a little bit.

Though some good news. I spent the past month learning Japanese. I previously spent some time using Duolingo, but now I'm studying it properly with learning books, and making good progress. \o/

I'm significantly older, and I'm still to get mine. Over 1.5 years on an ADHD waiting list, and I've become convinced it's a major source of my difficulties. And based on what my doctor said about the waiting list, it could be easily another year. 😭

I remember a time when I was in a social circle where people talked about midnight screenings. I remember thinking of going, but not sure if I actually attended any of them. 🫠

This is strangely reminiscent of late 90s PC graphics. 😂

Yeah, there's Washington, the state, then there's Washington DC, the government district on the opposite side of the country. At least the 2 New Yorks - the state and the city - are actually in in the same place.

010

Freelancer Lazuli @freelancerwells.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

Actually yeah, that's exactly what this is. It tries to give the appearance of talking to a person, but feels uncanny and wrong. But unlike Max headroom, where the janky surrealism makes it kind of endearing, this is just sad and creepy.

Freelancer Lazuli @freelancerwells.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

Turns out we're still stuck in the 1999 mindset of "add photo of real person's face to give overinflated sense of realism". 🫠

Freelancer Lazuli @freelancerwells.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

When you recognise what it's actually doing, and its limitations - taking a still image and creating a limited range of motion, and inserting/blending in mouth positions/shapes from other images - you start to see it as the shallow, uncanny valley puppetry it really is.

I've not seen anything from the game except from that brief glimpse from before. but damn, they did a pretty good job of capturing the vibe I got from the original low-poly model. I wish I could say the same about Star Fox. That gives me "Disney live action remake" vibes. 😭

There's the 2005 movie, Robots. There was a big-assed robot called Aunt Fanny, but in the UK, they edited the voices to say "Aunt Fan", because fanny means something else here. 👀

Freelancer Lazuli @freelancerwells.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

There's no such thing as a "real man". It's just empty words people throw around to pretend-validate their own personal opinions / preferences. At least be honest with yourselves and say "I think men should be more like this" or "I think men shouldn't do this".

I can't help notice the deaf girl is green. It's just, it reminds me of Toph from Avatar, she was the blind character and she wore green. 👀 Also, everyone pet the kitty! 👋🥰

All this time, I thought the series was made in 2005. Turns out I was thinking of the movie, which came out a couple of years later.

010

Freelancer Lazuli @freelancerwells.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

Hegseth is basically that cartoon villain-esq character from the first Avatar movie. Except there's no way he'd put himself in harm's way.

Freelancer Lazuli @freelancerwells.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

That reminds me, for a little while I've been meaning to go into the city centre. First time I've done it in literally years. I want to see if I can get vol 1 of Devil's Candy while there. :D (I know I can order online, but I like the novelty of just buying from a shop.)

They're taking as many things as they possibly can and finding ways to make people keep paying forever. Companies are driven by a system that expects perpetual unsustainable growth, and eventually the only way to grow is to brute force it with unethical, abusive practices.
