Claude is stuborn MF, it fails to follow basic "Read and follow ./security.md" for crying out laud. I rather do Read "@security.md" which works always with claude.

I was 6 y/o and I knew how to start norton commander and CD to all the games my father had. My first CLI tool I used.

To be fair, if you manage to use global cache and preserve the root depth of your project it will be reproducible. But why building /here vs /git/here shall result in different binary.

Antonín Dach @freed00m.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

I always solve these by chainin a script on a first mandatory repo step adds versioned .gitconfig includes to the ./.git/config so the noobs have a safer and saner defaults.

I am so obsessed with this movie. The moment when Heidrich told Kritzinger with low quiet voice "You will answer now <dramatic pause> or you will answer ... later" send shivers down my spine.

I loved that game, the Duke Nukem 2 was trash imho, and 3D was legendary.

Hobbit feels that way because they decided to film it with higher refresh rate and that make it feel cheap like it has effect on me like old soap operas do.

Ok found out why it was so. The full path including parents have an effect on reproducibility cross machine. Two people cloning somewhere else one in /data one /home/user results in different build output :O while npm world only looks inside node_modules

000

Antonín Dach @freed00m.bsky.social · 30/06/2026

Move to yarn for reproducible builds they said. Yeah NPM was having variable names mangling issues but hell with Yarn 4, it's even less reproducible 🥵

I liked the Section 31, it showed how often we as liberal democracies are sometimes hypocrites. It made me reflect on few beliefs I held.

Do you handle hot reloading after changing the source files? That was very tricky to force it to stop and load a new SW when I was implementing my own. I think I had to sneak in a full page reload to really make it behave, but I wonder if you managed to solve for this. I don't see it at a glance.

User clicks "Reject ALL cookies" .... "Why am I being not remembered?". :D I hate cookies, set firefox to delete them after close with a whitelist I carefully maintain (it's hard and tedious). And can't be synce so I copy over the sqlite permission database from PC to PC 🥲

I liked the episode, demonstrating that young men near adulthood has the capability to decide important things for themselves. Taking a risk to save a loved one. Boomer parents has been challenged to realize their teenagers are maybe more mature then they thought.

Well, she did not deserve the full extend of the Gamergate hatemob but I will stand by that her takes on "problematic" games were plain dishonest. I hated her back then for telling lies. Hopes Anita is a person these days. But getting mad about she's involved is kinda wild.

agreed, I am using yarn 4 with Plug and Play, it solves plenty of issues but then framework's ESM loading commonjs and half the ecosystem giving up support for one or the other due to "let's save bits". I can't use Storybook 10 because all of the 800 dependency has to work ESM only. :D I hate it.

Portal 2 is such a great game. The community chambers are such a infinite amount of entertainment. Just every month clicking for quick play top chambers and they are new and fresh. The game returned it's value 100x fold.

I am beginning to change my opinnion on Yarn P'n'P. Every benefit they list is true, however the repository constantly breaks and upstream has disdain for accomodating this rather modern approach of doing things.

That's true for sway as well, it was the only DE that worked reasonably ok on rhe first Pinephone, for inspiration, look into postmarketOS sway flawor configs, they have some elegant menu configs that was touch enabled.
