Last minute addition for 26.3: Part Design gets new pattern types: Circular, Path and Point, distributing instances along curves, points or concentric circles. All patterns now support suppressing individual instances - including the original instance - right from the 3D View. #FreeCAD #CAD
FreeCAD introduced new pattern types in Part Design: circular, path, and point.

The same tools including linear and polar are also available in Assembly to insert objects along a pattern as links to behave like one rigid object where joints can be added at every instance.

RE-boxing pic! I revised the electronics box to better accommodate the USB Power inputs: * Nudge the existing post to the right * Add a post for the second * Shrink both to take an M2 heat-set insert; the holes were too small for the M3 screws used everywhere else. #Maker #FreeCad #3DPrinting
A white, rectangular, 3D-printed box sits on a dark grey work. The box is roughly 10cm x 20cm, with 2cm tall walls. The box has two full walls, and most of a third. The cables for both power inputs and the Lumidrive will all connect on the left side, so there is no left wall.

Inside the box are three holes at the bottom, used to mount the box to the larger piece.

Also inside the box are 5 mounting posts scattered around, used to secure the electronics to the box. Four of them are 8mm tall, but the fifth is 12mm. All five have their centers partially hollowed out to accept a heat-seat insert (which have not been inserted yet). The two posts on the far left are highlighted with an orange rectangle - these are the two that the USB power inputs mount to.
