Here’s a progress pic. I used water soluble interfacing. This lets me draw or print a design and easily transfer it to the fabric, and it holds the knitted (therefore stretchy,) fabric in place so the stitching doesn’t warp the material. I embroidered on the inside front of the shirt.

I found this t-shirt on the free table at Bubonicon, and I can see how it ended up there. I don’t want to walk around with a transphobic billboard on my boobs either. But, this was a good quality shirt in my size! I’m thankful that someone left it on the table instead of throwing it away.

Behold my sign! People underestimate the importance of a good front and back for your sign. I made these on separate pieces of cardboard and glued them back-to-back with a rolled up piece of cardboard in between to serve as a lightweight handle.

I’ve noticed that there’s always so many dogs at progressive events in Albuquerque. It demonstrates that NM lefties are empathetic and caring, and I think it’s a great way for us to show nonviolent intent.
