I had no idea NGS only adopted Robinson in 1988! I'll bet I started looking seriously at world maps around age 10, i.e. 1989, and I assumed the crisp new NG maps my grandparents were putting in front of me represented a fully established status quo.

That any system can be mismanaged, including a commons, seems too obvious to credit to anyone in particular. I think Hardin's distinctive argument was that mismanagement of the commons has been historically typical, and that argument seems cleanly wrong to me.

I too recently performed a resurrection, of a laptop that had been sitting in a drawer for 2 or 3 years, newer than 2015 but still old enough to have a deprecated OS. It also lacks a functional "2" key, which presents peculiar challenges for initial login when one's username is an email address.

An OW shift means the substance of the political views of any one faculty member can stay the same, while the identification of those views as left, center, or right can steadily change around them, no? I'm not quite getting it yet. Is it simply lack of adequate standardization in how sinks are lumped or split causing dangerous confusion in what it looks like to get on track for adequate levels of CO2 removal, and the managed land thing happens to be the biggest piece of that discrepancy?
