3 days ago we filled the water trough at the Equestrian facility at Glendora Mountain Road to test it. It's used by horses and by bicycle riders, both of which plunge their nostrils in face first and suck up the cool water. Glad to see 1 inch of evaporation per day which is the expected volume loss

The newt habitat work on Pavil Canyon Trail was checked this morning to confirm that the disturbance last week as we reworked the creek isolation rocks and excavated the pool settled. The newts that were observed last week were not out and about this early in the morning so I did not wake them

Before and after. Got the deadfall across Big Dalton Canyon Trail cleared and whacked the brush from the County safety railing down through the work site, Sawzall since I may not use the chainsaw when working alone. 5 hikes came through early! Also cleared the County's safety railing of brush.

I love our drinking water :) The Oroville Dam's spillways were designed badly, lessons learned decades later were too late to save the old spillway. Now the new spillways has the engineering lessons learned :) Love seeing it
