Weekend notes: * Tour de Nash was great. * My dad was right about the magnolia blossoms. * Tio Fun (and I Dream of Weenie, I learned recently) has a fun weekend brunch. * It’s awesome to have a new locally owned market/cafe in the neighborhood that sources a lot of local products and produce.

We know implementing this community improvement program involves adjusting property taxes. It's also an appraisal year, and most Nashvillians have seen property values increase. We're setting the lowest tax levy in Metro history, but many will pay higher overall taxes. But we're still competitive.

Here's a visualization of how we're approaching the first year and where we've been in recent years. The UHS gives us a great data set and collection of strategies to find room and funding for 90,000 homes over the next decade. This will take a unified approach, but Metro is committed.

If your schedule allows you to attend today's State of Metro address in person, there are many ways to arrive. The downtown branch of @nowatnpl.bsky.social is an easy walk from WeGo Central. And there's a B-Cycle kiosk next to Church Street Park. And plenty of bike parking at NPL. See you at 10!
