Practice knocked me tf out. Had to sleep for a few hrs after. Voice is still meh but I can mostly hit the notes for the pretty songs and will have to trust that my vocal cords will get better enough for the ~weird sounds~ in time.

Gonna add to this that I am so grateful to have learned the concept of chosen family at an early enough age. I was mostly estranged from my whole family as a younger adult. Selecting my own family saved me.

Like, I say this somewhat gently, your children do not owe you a relationship. Earn that by raising them in a way that they can love you by. You don’t need to be perfect. If they’re the asshole beyond your capacity you can ditch them too. Genetics don’t automatically make family, relationship does

Well tbf my sperm contribution cut ME off, as a baby so… We reconnected briefly and met when I was 20ish & he was a jerk & when I said so he cut me off again. Good riddance! My bonehead step-dad is was Dad (not Daddy, that was briefly someone else who is hopefully rotting in hell now).

All dogs named Otis are chill. All dogs named Louie are silly af. All dogs named Buddy were crazy ass puppies but become very lazy adults. All dogs named Brody steal stuff off the counter. All dogs named Maple are pretty but do gross stuff. All dogs named Belle behave like hounds (or are one).

I can now do 97% of my new dog walking route without GPS/looking at notes which makes it so much easier. Only exception is on Fridays where I have an extra dog that kinda gums up the works still (but only a little). I’m a much better employee when I don’t have to think. Thinking is personal.
