message from me recollecting about this, from like a year ago... its so fucking stupid compared to the stream of horrifying shit i hear from family members regarding this stuff, that part of me genuinely believes i hallucinated it... i can't help but find it hilarious

and my siblings once... i THINK???? clocked me as a tranny, because I........... had a nano pfp??????? this one is stupid as shit compared to the traumatic stuff in the other two... while walking to keyfood, they literally just randomly went "hey did you know one in three people is transgender" "really? well im not transgender" "me neither..." and then they looked at back at me like this, before saying "brah you got a nichijou pfp, only trans people like that show"

hell yeah!! its a pretty small one, and admittedly moreso spritework than programming, but i really love the genesis workaround of faking semi-transparency using patterns of transparent and opaque pixels like its such a cool and clever visual effect, and it looks even sweeter on a CRT monitor

DiC's Sailor Moon localization in particular infamously cuts out many LGBT and gender identity related themes from episodes... simply because the west couldn't handle the idea of queer people in media DiC literally considered INCEST. to be an acceptable PG alternative to an implied queer romance
