Gonna be at TFcon Chicago for a little while today! I actually don’t have a lot of transformers themed clothes so I’ll be wearing a red flannel with Bumblebee and Starscream in my chest pocket LOL, if you see me feel free to say hi!

Birdie (he/it) 23 🔞 @freakyfossils.bsky.social · 19/09/2025

Right exactly… like there’s nothing wrong with either take on their relationship but some people act like it’s UNIVERSALLY canon that Bumblebee is Optimus Prime’s little baby son and will freak out if people depict them in any other way… and it’s just really not that serious IMO

020

Birdie (he/it) 23 🔞 @freakyfossils.bsky.social · 19/09/2025

I’ve been thinking about drawing them for so long… # 1 most needlessly hated on pairing when opbee is actually fire, most people just don’t wanna believe it

130

Birdie (he/it) 23 🔞 @freakyfossils.bsky.social · 19/09/2025

YIPPPEEEEEEEE this is so good we need more opbee in this world

Birdie (he/it) 23 🔞 @freakyfossils.bsky.social · 04/09/2025

Guys if you wanna understand why I fw Starbee so much despite them having very little positive canon interaction I’ve been thinking about this ALL DAY and I explained it here as best as I can… Starbee forever

0222

Birdie (he/it) 23 🔞 @freakyfossils.bsky.social · 04/09/2025

So yeah obviously this is more like hypothetical stuff since they don’t have a lot of positive interactions in canon but idk they’re just like peanut butter and jelly to me… sorry for infodumping but I have starbee autism

150

Birdie (he/it) 23 🔞 @freakyfossils.bsky.social · 04/09/2025

Starscream rebels against it. And also, neither of them are always taken seriously by their respective factions, with Bumblebee it’s more of people underestimating him or seeing him as naive, whereas with Starscream it’s like he’s the laughing stock of the decepticons sometimes. (6/7)

160

Birdie (he/it) 23 🔞 @freakyfossils.bsky.social · 04/09/2025

both of them are close to their respective leaders, where obviously Bee has a good relationship with Optimus based on mutual respect and affection, Starscream basically has the opposite of that with Megatron. Both are usually not considered “leader” material, but while Bee kinda accepts that, (5/?)

160

Birdie (he/it) 23 🔞 @freakyfossils.bsky.social · 04/09/2025

appreciated. I think Starscream is probably used to being beaten and belittled by people bigger than him, and Bumblebee is the exact opposite of that. Bumblebee could not be MORE different from Megatron. AND I also think there’s some interesting parallels between them… (4/?)

170

Birdie (he/it) 23 🔞 @freakyfossils.bsky.social · 04/09/2025

and irredeemable. As for Starscream, I think he would really benefit from a partner like Bumblebee who would be openly affectionate and loving towards him, partially cuz he’d like having his ego stroked and also because I think he’s someone who needs a lot of validation to feel secure and (3/?)

160

Birdie (he/it) 23 🔞 @freakyfossils.bsky.social · 04/09/2025

mech to not take it personally and get mad when Starscream is being a dick, and he’d be able to tell when he’s just being mean as a coping mechanism, and I also think he’s one of the only characters who I could see realistically giving Starscream a chance and not just seeing him as pure evil (2/?)

170

Birdie (he/it) 23 🔞 @freakyfossils.bsky.social · 04/09/2025

I CAN ANSWER THIS I have a PHD in Starbee. Okay so basically aside from the thing they have going on in IDW which is a whole other can of worms… I think they have super compatible personalities in an opposites attract sort of a way, and they also have a lot in common. I think Bumblebee is the (1/?)
