Owlga was not exactly the best Vole hunter in her family. In the timespan she needed to catch one elderly stone-deaf mammal, Michowl caught half a dozen juicy young ones. But when it came to overpowering sandy hillocks, noowl could match Owlga's dexterity. Gotcha!

Coming home from a night of intensive clubbing, Owlexander came upon YET ANOTHER two new little sisters. "Fffee are Carowline and Powleen", the younger one lisped. "You mufft be our broffer Owlexff." Owlex was horrified. Couldn't Mom and Dad ever stop breeding? More little ones to eat HIS slug stew!

After the disaster with his TOO BIG Burrow entrance, Owlgernon chose the opposite and moved into a prefab Tiny Burrow. The ad had promised things like "cozy", "unique" and "sustainable". In fact, it was depressing, claustrophobic and JUST HORRIBLE.

Owlgernon had taken to heart what the Big Loud Orange Bird (BLOB) hammered into his fans' minds: THINK BIG, BUILD BIG. It had taken Owlgie weeks to dig an entrance to the BLOB's liking.Unfortunately the Burrow behind it was now unfit to live in. Maybe THINKING was not the BLOB's forte, Owlgie mused.

Michowl and Nicowlas had found the perfect solution for the housing crisis: They'd left their Burrow behind and moved into a wooden cabin. Mike would never admit it was less romantic than he'd hoped, and quite uncomfortable. It didn't help that everyowl said their cabin looked like a pile of sticks.

The human had brought a camera (without asking) but could not produce a card, which fact made an introduction impossible.Really, Burrows thought, humans had no manners.

Yes, there were those who called Powla cute. Others, who looked a bit closer, came up with words like graceful, lithe, dainty, elegant. "Look at her stance, her pose! Isn't she the sweetest little Owlet elfin?" Powla didn't give a f***. All she knew was, she was gonna be a damn good ballet dancer.

Molting was not for the faint of heart. Owlgernon decided it was a tough time. But you couldn't even call in sick because, as the boss put it, "molting's not an illness, so we ignore it, and just work harder." Easier said than done (Owlgie thought) when you looked and felt like an exploded pillow.

Richowld and Owlroy were veterans of the Civowl War (Burrowing against Screech, or had it been Eagle Owls? no matter) and talked for nights on end about battles, victories, and wounds (Owlroy had sacrificed an eye for the Burrowing Cause, bless him).They could, however, not remember a single defeat.
