Excited to see this article led by @seishirotada.bsky.social out in @anatrecord.bsky.social. Triceratops and their ceratopsian kin are more than horns and frills! Check out their narial regions! doi.org/10.1002/ar.7...
From https://doi.org/10.1002/ar.70150. FIGURE 10 Life reconstruction of the head of Triceratops prorsus with nasal soft tissues inferred in the present study shown. Soft tissues include the main narial nerves and blood vessels, nasal gland, nasolacrimal duct, and respiratory turbinate. Note that the nasolacrimal duct and respiratory turbinate were inferred mainly in centrosaurines. Artwork by K. Sakane. n & bv, nerves and blood vessels; ng, nasal gland; nld, nasolacrimal duct; rt, respiratory turbinate.

I also presented my bachelors dissertation on some sabertooth FEA which I worked on with @palaeostephan.bsky.social! This was an amazing conference, super thankful for @richardjbutler.bsky.social and the host committee for letting me help out

This weekend I very briefly presented some of my research on hydrodynamics of bone beds at PalAss 2025. Big thanks to the host committee and @tweetisaurus.bsky.social @imranrahman.bsky.social for all the help with the project!

Mosaic anatomy in an early fossil squamate - Nature

It's fair to say that not everyone was convinced by our identification. But now we have a much more complete skeleton, excavated by our UK-Moroccan-US team. Not only does Spicomellus have spikes fused to its dorsal ribs, it has metre-long spikes extending from a cervical half ring

That’s a wrap on my two months @thepalass.bsky.social research internship at the NHM 🦖! Spent two months working on some awesome techniques (bet you can’t guess by the photos 😂) with @tweetisaurus.bsky.social and @imranrahman.bsky.social! Grateful for the staff involved in making this happen.

Have you seen the Band of Brothers episode of Walking With Dinosaurs yet? Last year it was an absolute pleasure to dig at the site with our University of Birmingham undergraduates - thanks so much to @jlivelypaleo.bsky.social & @prehistoricmuseum.bsky.social for an amazing experience!

So glad to be able to share my opinions on the new series of Walking with Dinosaurs with BBC’s Points of View. Great opportunity to talk about the show and its significance to the public.

Exam period forces me to finally tackle palaeontology’s biggest question: What’s the relationship of the random items in room G26? Think this is definitely a future publication 😂. Still no closer to understanding the field of phylogenetics!

New therizinosaur fossils are always exciting. But this one is particularly weird/cool having only two fingers! Some comments from me on this new find in National Geographic www.nationalgeographic.com/science/arti...
nationalgeographic.com
This bizarre new dinosaur has something in common with modern sloths
Like T. rex and some modern sloths, this strange 90 million year old dinosaur had two fingers on each hand.

Nothing like a spontaneous midweek trip to London to listen to @tweetisaurus.bsky.social’s amazing talk on stegosaurs. Great way to celebrate handing in a dissertation 🥳

Got a sneaky peek at these results last month. Might be the best matching of academics and Sci-Fi I could imagine!

Super happy to finally be able to share this! These are some photos from the UK’s biggest dinosaur trackway which was uncovered in Oxford over the summer. It was an amazing experience getting to help excavate and photograph these tracks. Thanks to all the staff involved.
