Kicking off Soup Season 2026 with a cracking little leek and potato number. Threw in a smidge of spinach to green it up a bit (vitamins please) and enjoyed a slice or two of brown bread and proper butter. Chestnut, Kale & Blue Cheese next up, I think.

I made a flock of garden birds for xmas so we could identify what was on the feeders: Rook, Jackdaw, Blackbird, Starling, Chaffinch, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Robin, Dunnock, Wren, Coal Tit, and Sparrow. Since then, we've had Goldfinch, Greenfinch, Bullfinch, Siskins and Redpoll. More to make! #birdsky
