Francanthrope @franthewolf.bsky.social · 24/01/2025Awesome! I hope it pays off because your mental health is so important. That site is the worst. 030
Francanthrope @franthewolf.bsky.social · 21/01/2025What a disgrace to our democracy. I'm so ashamed of this country. 030
Francanthrope @franthewolf.bsky.social · 21/01/2025Hey! I'm making a personal RSS feed for news and content! Does anyone have recommendations for blogs/sites that cover: - gaming (new or old) - books - movies - programming? #recommendations #booksky #gamesky #filmsky 100
Francanthrope @franthewolf.bsky.social · 20/01/2025These look great! Was just playing Dust and it's such a great game. The visuals are so pleasing 010
Francanthrope @franthewolf.bsky.social · 15/01/2025THAT RUSSIAN ALEX SAYING THAT THE U.S. HAS BECOME THE MOST REACTIONARY COUNTRY AND THAT THE WHOLE WORLD HAS CHANGED BESIDES US. WOW 😳 So so good. Also the Russians saying that the Americans want to end politics right where they hold dominion is... 🤌🤌 110
Francanthrope @franthewolf.bsky.social · 15/01/2025His house discussion is already making me like him a lot. He's maniacal and he's giving socialist king. 100
Francanthrope @franthewolf.bsky.social · 15/01/2025Red Mars' Part 2: John debate-broing Phyllis about Christianity ala early YouTube atheist is so well characterized. I love it and it's nothing less than I expect from Mr. Scientific America himself. The characters are really fun and funny ngl 010
Francanthrope @franthewolf.bsky.social · 14/01/2025Red Mars' part II: Arkady is a mad man omg. The imagery of those simulations is so funny but horrifying. 110
Francanthrope @franthewolf.bsky.social · 14/01/2025- Mars' descriptions are so gorgeous and rich. The explanation of how Arabic is far suited to expressing the terrain was neat. L - Science explanations are perfect hard sci-fi where their dense but not so difficult to understand. - Characters are kinda country caricatures. John is so USA coded. 000
Francanthrope @franthewolf.bsky.social · 14/01/2025So I just read part 1 of 'Red Mars' and that was kind of crazy. I had to read with an audiobook so I might have missed some details: - Chalmers is such a bitter bastard, it's kinda funny. Also him stoking racial tensions is so diabolical, and WHISTLING afterwards is so extra. 110

Francanthrope @franthewolf.bsky.social · 12/01/2025Gonna read 'Red Mars' as my first book of 2025, courtesy of a reader on Bluesky. Because I have never gotten a book recommendation online, I am pretty excited. Kinda bummed that my library only has an audiobook option atm for this digitally. Can't find my e-reader tho so ig it works out??? 010
Reposted by FrancanthropeDan @kingklonoa.bsky.social · 11/01/2025I think the explosive pace of Arcane Season 2 benefited it more than hurt it. That watch experience was insane and I loved almost every minute of it. Definitely prefer the second season, even with the few problems I have with it. 5301
Francanthrope @franthewolf.bsky.social · 12/01/2025Thank you. I will be posting my thoughts as I read. Just finished 'Children of Time' and I'm desperate to fill the void. 100
Francanthrope @franthewolf.bsky.social · 10/01/2025Fair enough. I just finished listening to the fiest Foundation book and it just felt very utilitarian. The only sci Fi that comes to mind with compelling characters (that I read) is the Teixcalaan series. If you have more, I'd love to know so I can put them in my reading list. 210
Francanthrope @franthewolf.bsky.social · 10/01/2025Sci-Fi characters are always poorly written for whatever reason. 100
Francanthrope @franthewolf.bsky.social · 05/01/2025The based take: Vegans can be snobby and there are luxury vegan items. But vegans can meet most of their dietary needs from extremely cheap sources: rice, legumes, leafy greens, tofu, and some seeds. I got my blood work done this year and everything was good! I spend probably $20 on produce weekly. 180
Francanthrope @franthewolf.bsky.social · 05/01/2025I like it, but it feels a tad bit underwhelming or incomplete. For me, Humanz as a whole can be described that way in spite of its subject matter being (yet again) relevant. 010
