With Unite members on the South London & Maudsley NHS picket line. It's clear more and more #NHS Trusts are pushing down pay by denying NHS workers their correct pay bands. This cannot continue. NHS workers should not be paying the price for crisis after crisis not of their making.

Workers in social care, people & pensioners have been badly let down for years and years. Pure & simple. Britain's social care system is a national disgrace. It's been turned into a cash cow for profiteers making money on the back of people’s suffering. STOP THE PROFITEERS ⏭️ tinyurl.com/4ptmhccz

🧵Dew ponds are a distinctive feature of the Yorkshire Wolds, dug in the 18th and 19th centuries to give livestock precious water where springs and streams were few. Shallow, saucer-shaped and clay-lined, they gathered rain and runoff rather than dew, despite their name.
This is a Yorkshire Wolds Dew Pond, a man-made feature historically created in the 18th and 19th centuries to provide drinking water for livestock on the chalk landscape. Also known as cloud or mist ponds, they were essential for farming in areas where natural surface water was scarce. Many of these historic ponds fell into disrepair but are now being restored by wildlife trusts to create havens for wildlife

The bedrock of the NHS is the hard work and dedication of its staff. Cuts to their jobs, pay or conditions, hurts them and undermines our NHS. Cuts must be reversed and workers supported to ensure the NHS provides all the services our communities deserve.
