During the pandemic, I got into wildlife photography. I find myself going to wildlife refuges and state parks and observing wildlife and nature. I've seen fields covered in snow geese, Eagles flying all around me, foxes, herons, osprey, Roseate Spoonbills, etc.

Authoritarian leaders love to worship themselves. Trump wants the same thing, but he fails miserably at it. I heard that in North Korea, if the house catches fire, they have to save the portrait first, they even have random inspections to make sure people are keeping the portraits clean... WTF?

I watch too many movies lol. I probably watched Red Dawn and had a nightmare about it, except Patrick Swayze and Charlie Sheen weren't there to help! 🤣

Public executions now? Seriously whats next, every house will need a portrait of Trump in the living room? Like North Korea does with Dear Leader.

When I was a kid, I had a nightmare of living in a Soviet Occupied United States, forced to live under authoritarian rule. In a way, I feel as if that dream is coming true, instead of the Soviets, its Trump with some Russian influence. He is the biggest threat.

Great Blue Herons are amazing at eating fish! How they can fling the fish and catch it so its angled correctly. Also drawing in water to help the fish slide down.

It was a struggle, but in the end... The Heron won.

Blue islands in a sea of Red. Every state is different shades of purple. He is a threat to everyone. Plus San Diego is the pacific fleet headquarters, he just threatened his own military. He is such an idiot!!!

I cannot believe that a sitting president of the United States, referred to the destruction of the 2nd and 8th largest cities in the United States, as a small price to pay. What timeline am I living in???

I don't think I've ever seen that species before. Delaware is a migration stop, I'm always on the lookout for new bird species.

I used a bird ID app to learn what this bird was, I must have thought it was just a mallard at the time. I see so many of them around here in Delaware. I love it when I come across one I've never seen before.

I had this photo sitting on my hard drive for 3 years, taken on 4/8/23. A bird I've never seen before, a Greater Scaup. #BirdoftheDay #BlueWater #PhotographersUnited #eastcoastkin #birds #wildlife #nature #photography #photos #eck

I've been in a few traffic jams because of them, they are so common, trying to walk in some parks without stepping in goose poop takes talent! 🤣

After seeing various Facebook pages of our government, I realized that we are living in the movie Idiocracy. Like seriously the Dept. Of Education showing a video with Mortal Kombat Characters in a WWE wrestling ring doing jumping jack's. This is all one big joke to them.

Sorry about all the back and fourth posts today. The decision to euthanize is always difficult, especially when money is tight. Everything is so ridiculously expensive now, having a pet is becoming a luxury.

She lived a long life, even though it never feels long enough. I bumped into someone in Wilmington who's cat got out, she mentioned the cat was 20! I was jealous, I wish they all could live that long.

She decided not to euthanize her, she is going to stay overnight at the vet hospital.

Frank Ward🇺🇦 BlazingPhoenixPhotos @frankward7016.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

I'm sorry to hear that. Its amazing how they stay with you even when they're long gone. I had to say goodbye to my dog in 1997, I still think about him all the time.

Its impossible, I had to make the decision twice this year, luckily my friend won't have to make the decision right now.

Well, my friend just informed me that she decided not to go with the euthanasia, she is going to stay in the hospital overnight.

Good news, she decided against the euthanasia, she is hospitalized the cat. I really appreciate your help.

My friend, sadly had to euthanize her cat this morning. She was taken to the ER and has numerous health problems including heart and gallbladder issues. Thank you to people who donated and or reposted, even kind words are appreciated.

Hey Nicole, thank you, my friend had to take her cat to the ER this morning. Her medical problems are too severe, she had to make the decision to put her to sleep. Its so damn heartbreaking. We've had to do it twice this year for our cats. I feel sick right now.
