Lower back tattoos have a bad rep. Heres an elegant scarab piece I did for my friend Shelly. #scarab #beetle #poppy #poppies #floraltattoo #tattoo #tattoos #maryland #oxbloodink

I was asked to tattoo the heron from a recent painting I did for my father. I told my client that I would prefer to design them their own. This is what we created together. What do you guys think? #heron #chesapeakebay #bay #crane #greatblueheron #herontattoo #putabirdonit #bird #birb #birds

Did this Cerberus chest piece for my buddy Josh. Be careful becoming my friend, I may tattoo right over your nipples. #cerberus #chestpiece #chesttattoo #hellhound #hell #wolves #wolf #skull #skulls #skulltattoo #cerberustattoo #tattoo #tattoos #oxbloodink

Here’s a fun cover up I did a while back. The leaf on the left covers the lips and the beak covers the lettering. What do you guys think? #coveruptattoo #raven #skull #skulls #byefelicia #putabirdonit #birb #bird #autumn #leaves #tattoo #tattoos #maryland #tattooer #skulltattoo #md #dc #dmv

Made some tweaks to this one and calling it finished at this point. What do you guys think? #ink #watercolor #painting #skull #rose #paint #art #drawing #sketch #maryland #tattooer

I was honored to do this piece entitled, “Luna” on my good buddy, Scott. This originally was done as a painting. When Scott saw it, he fell in love and immediately said that he needed it tattooed on him. #luna #moon #stars #celestial #afro #blackandgrey #tattoo #woman #tattoos #maryland #oxbloodink

My client told me to listen to Mars Volta and draw him something cool. This is where the creativity went. #wendigo #hand #antlers #leshy #skull #tattoo #marsvolta #tattoos #eyes #maryland #oxbloodink

Finished this one up yesterday. The black and grey is settling in nicely. What do you guys think? Skulls and flowers will forever be my favorite. #skull #skulls #roses #rose #tattoo #tattoos #skulltattoo #rosetattoo #blackandgrey #red #maryland #oxbloodink

Screwed the pooch on this one. I had some issues with the black and grey, but the real problems became apparent when doing the red. #sucks #painting #gloppy #ink #sloppy #paint #betterluck #nexttime #watercolor

Pretty sure I went too heavy with my liquid mask initially and it saturated the paper. My red ink may be getting old and too think also. Too late now.
I was going to paint the linework, but after the mishaps with the red I just used pens.

I’m also doing a painting of my new sticker design. I may have gone a little heavy on the initial application of the liquid mask and frayed my paper a little. I always learn something new with every painting. #ink #watercolor #skull #rose #painting #paint #skulls #roses #workinprogress

I’m doing a paint trade with someone I look up to immensely. I’ve gotta spit hot fiya! 🔥 This is where I’m at so far. #painttrade #sketch #procreate #sketchbook #drawing #putabirdonit #birb #birds #raven #ravens #crow #thecrow #hand #hands #painting #workinprogress

I’m liking the hand but the raven needs more life and movement. . . and a shit ton of black

My client told me she wanted the T-Rex from Jurassic Park and the rest was up to me. This is where the inspiration went. #jurassicpark #trex #tyrannosaurus #dilophosaurus #amber #jurassicparktattoo #dinosaurtattoo #tattoo #tattoos #tyrannosaurusrex #maryland #oxbloodink

Dilophosaurus was always my favorite from the first movie, I’m still waiting for a good dilo return to the big screen.

Originally the red flame from the flare was going to be the light source.
The night before we did the coloring I messed with the hues and decided to change everything.

I’m desperately trying to invoke a sense of motion in this piece… and pretty much every other one. I feel like I’m always struggling to break through this barrier of the static and the flat. #thebeautifulstruggle #sketch #workinprogress #procreate #skeleton #dancer #drawing #skull #skulls #giantribs

I’m gonna keep working on this, maybe eventually it will be cool.

It’s an interesting excercise to take a picture of a work in progress and then view it small on your phone.
I’m noticing so many flaws that were escaping me while being fixated on other details now.

More to come on this one.

Thanks for looking/reading 🤙

I love drawing animals. I’m often asked to draw “dark” or “scary” animals, so this cut lil bunny was a nice change of pace. #bunny #rabbit #cute #tattoo #blackandgrey #blackandgreytattoo #tattoos #bngtattoo #rabbittattoo #bunnytattoo #daisy #flowers #floral #floraltattoo #oxbloodink

If you’re not already following this man, you should consider doing so. Mike has been one of my favorite (if not my #1) tattooers (illustrator, artist) for over a decade and never ceases to impress me with his work.

I did this great blue heron painting for my dad. He always took me fishing on the Chesapeake bay growing up. #greatblueheron #heron #putabirdonit #bird #birds #birdwatcher #watercolor #ink #painting #paint #blue #teal

I learned a lot while doing this painting.

Some aspects of this one drive me a little crazy, but I told myself that mistakes are going to happen while I’m on this journey and I’m going to keep pushing forward.

Maybe one day I’ll do a good one. lol
