I don't know if I've shared this on here, but here's my only art of my sona drinking tea... they're both really old from when I was still learning to draw

Electric kettles kind of freak me out because, on the one hand, yeah, they are extremely efficient and discrete, but on the other, I kind of like knowing when the water has boiled. I keep "setting, forgetting, coming back to find it's already cold" this new one

Today's intrusive thought is my mom's favorite cookies, which used to come stacked in a tube in 4 packs of 4. During the great recession, they started sliding the packs in the tube _sideways_ , which meant now only _3_ packs of 4 could 3 fit in the tube! Never updated the packaging, never went back.

In case anyone didn't get the joke, Bilbo Baggins's last name is "Bolsón" in spanish. So a name like Bolsonaro would be something like "Bagginses" or "Bag-end" (Yes, I know Brazil doesn't speak portuguese, but that shouldn't affect my intent)

Well here's an interesting fun fact: if you know a pokémon's favorite berry, you can use this table from Bulbapedia to figure out their nature. Rei (Pikachu), for instance, is fond of the Leppa berry, which means she has a Careful nature, while Missingno's favorite is Cherri, meaning Lonely nature

An intermission of sorts, just something I needed to do, not because of this news in particular, but because I NEEDED to draw Rei (Pikachu) again. To clarify: they're still at the Johto daycare, I've never played X/Y (but was hoping to "in a year or two") and she'll never stop calling me onii-chan.

"Mom, Mom! Come quick!" a raichu calls out to a pik-achu from a doorway. The pik-achu appears to be sitting on a wavy edge, suggesting a pond. Both have a bow on one ear.

"See?" the raichu tells the pik-achu as she leads her to an old TV and gestures to it. "There's Mega-thingies for us now!" she surmises.
The pik-achu looks at the silhouettes on screen agape. "Where is this even from?" the pik-achu asks.
"Kalos!" the raichu replies cheerfully.
A pich-chu who was watching the TV on a cusion while wearing a trainer jacket looks over his shoulder at them.

"I don't think your brother can afford it," the pik-achu says as she leans in on the TV which now displays the letters D. L. C. among other logos.
"But Onii-chan said we might go in a year or two," the raichu replies more mutedly as she points to the pic-chu.

"Oh, and that one totaly looks like one of missingno's glitches," the pikachu ads, pointing at the mega-raichu that appears on screen with zig-zag tufts resembling double ears.
This excites the raichu, who leans in flicking her tailtip. "Oh! Can I--?" she bings to ask.
"No," the pik-achu cuts her off.
The pich-chu, meanwhile, is fussily thrashing his little arms and crying out: "Stop calling me onii-chan!"

It took a year, but I finally finished the second page! The motivation for this is that it always bothered me that the games don't save who the parents are when an egg hatches, so I raised Sparkey with this little mantra so she wouldn't forget …This isn't the first time it's come back to bite me.

"You're going to ask him anyway, aren't you?" asks the pic-chu in trainer clothes as he rinses off a plate on a garden faucet.
"Who?" asks the raichu, twitching the ear with the bow as she rubs soap into a bowl.
"Missingno, to turn you mega," the Pic-chu surmizes. Towering next to them is a Typhlosion drying off a mug.

"How can you even think that?!" asks the raichu holding out the bowl. "Mom said no!" she surmizes.
"Uh, because you only do as you're told about half the time?" the pic-chu quips as he tries to hand off the plate to Typhlosion, who has turned away to pass the mug on down the line.

"But you always said: respect your mother, not me!" The raichu pleads, having handed off the plate.
"I did *not* say 'not me'," the pic-chu counters now holding the bowl, as the typholosion starts drying the dripping wet plate.
"Did too!"
"Did not!"
"Did too!"

"You did," chimes in Typhlosion as he finishes drying off the plate. "I was there every time."
"Who's side are you on?!" cries out the pic-chu throwing a stampy-stampy hissy fit as Raichu looks up in surprize.

I've always wanted to see @raizap.com draw a raichu and @scottderg.bsky.social gave me the chance! Here is Sparkey gazing at the stars, she's always so happy when they come out! Sparkey continues to defy the "totally not an alter" allegations since she cried happy tears throught the whole stream.
