4. Ada's Dream boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/41... A must-have for any developer worth the name You help Ada to implement Babbage's machine. Again, interesting mechanics, with a board to construct literally, and different ways to earn points. My second game, and this time, with 4 players

2. Avalon boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/40... The game is nice, but the deluxe version is just gorgeous! It was a Kickstarter brought by a friend, and I was jealous. Look at this 👇 I need a second try, now that I understand the mechanics better

My week of #boardgames. 1. SETI boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/41... My second round in 2 weeks, and it went faster. Plus, I won. Again, a lot of fun. My only complaint: alien civilizations are very different; some are very powerful, some not. Granted, all players have the same, but still.

New week, new #boardgame. This week, it was Barrage boardgamegeek.co... A friend had warned me that a wrong start would botch the entire game. However, for me, the problem was the inability to "read" the game. Worst, I don't think I'll be better next time.

My latest #boardgame session: SETI boardgamegeek.co... I like the theme and the mechanics. A huge downside: it takes time; time to set up, time to play (~6 hours), and time to put all the components neatly in the box afterwards.

4. Feya's Swamp boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/43... Interesting mechanics. I probably need to play one more to understand better. The theme - swamp people in a pond - isn't really my thing, though

3. Mycelia boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/37... A "light" mushroom game. Easy to learn, hard to master

2. Clank Catacombs, with the Underworld extension boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/36... boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/44... Do I need to introduce my favorite game? Found an artifact super early, rushed to the exit, but my opponent was lucky and came out alive, with way more points. Still fun!

Two weeks of #boardgames in pictures 1. Recall boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/44... A slightly different gameplay than Revive, by the same authors I tended to like it slightly more, but I can't describe why.

I finally managed to play #DuneUprising with 6 players, 3 vs. 3. Added Bloodlines and part of Rise of Ix to the mix. Nice, but very long... Plan for at least 5 hours. #boardgames

When at first look at hooks in the context of #codingassistants, I was not amazed. But today, I watched a video where they implemented a hook that used #ClaudeCode itself 🤯🤯🤯 It opens so many doors I'll need a couple of weeks to think it over. #NewIdeasComing

Working with #LLMs both at work and at home make me reconsider the usual #developer approach to problems. We should probably let go of reaching for deterministic results and instead become true engineers and implement #DemingWheel: Plan-Do-Check-Act. #ThoughtOfTheDay #PCDA #DemingCycle

2. Ada's Dream boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/41... I received it just this week and I couldn't wait to play it. It's heavy, but a must-have for any developer. I think I got the hang of it, and I can't wait to try it again.

I had three #boardgame sessions this week. 1. Galactic Cruise boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/39... It was my 2nd time playing. I decided to play a heavy Agenda hand (bonus cards). I had the max nearly the whole game and I won by a mile. I'm curious whether I was a lucky or if it's a winning strategy

I'm a long-time user of @wikipedia.org, and especially Wiktionary for language learning. I support it especially at the time it comes under attack from fascists and nazis with too much money on their hands.
