Did the anime thing that everyone was doing. Choosing only 9 was difficult tho. I put a few that I watched back when I was a kid/teen as they used to show anime on tv in the 90s /2000s. The rest is when I started getting much more into manga and anime and I looked them for myself.

One little cool detail in the new Resident Evil film is the little nod to Ennio Morricone and The Thing soundtrack. One particular piece in the RE soundtrack has like 10 seconds of almost the same exact music / sound (?) to one of The Thing music score.

the Absolute Cass Cain one-shot has some of the most gorgeous artwork by Matías Bergara ever put on page. Incredible. The story in the other hand feels like a retread / rehash of the whole YJ Shiva/Cass arc and I don't like it that much at all, it feels so repetitive.

A few years ago when I was in a 2000AD group in Facebook I was known for almost always posting stuff about Judge Hershey, some members would even tag me in Judge Hershey posts. One day a member of that group sent me a DM of a saucy Judge Hershey sketch he drew. Good times.

Also speaking of adaptations I do wanna check out the 2002 live action film of Ping Pong. I think it could make a very nice double feature with Blue Spring from 2001, which is another live action adaptation from a Taiyo Matsumoto manga!

Finished watching Ping Pong and I really really like it! Smile and Peco are a good pair and while I do liked their stories I think the side characters are much more interesting, imo, and the little glimpses we see of these characters through the whole show is very neat.

Finished watching The Ghost in the Shell anime and it was pretty good! A great adaptation of the original manga. Now I do wonder if Science Saru will do an adaptation of the manga sequels tho.

I've been rewatching the Mission Impossible films with my mom (she only watched the 1st one many years ago) and it's so interesting to see how the franchise goes along stylistically with the years / decade they were made. Like for example MI 3 feels very mid 2000s, u know?
