Today I was invited as a speaker at a symposium organised by the Land of Schleswig-Holstein. Together with experts on trade law, we discussed the problem that words in smaller languages are sometimes registered as a trademark, and can be monopolised by trademark owners against minority speakers.

Dear @lijphart.bsky.social: the conditions for membership are that members subscribe to the political programme of EFA. Membership is based on parties, but to become a member is also possible for individuals holding elected office, so they can be included in the work of EFA too.
