Nee dat is niet raar want het moeilijkste onderdeel, de data, krijgen ze van de overheid. Er is nul innovatie op dit gebied alleen maar gegraai

Het is het cda, die zijn gewoon social conservatief
000
Frank Boerman @frank.boerman.dev · 29/11/2024
Yes but that I agree with! awareness and information should be much better
000
Frank Boerman @frank.boerman.dev · 29/11/2024
Unfortunately some institutions seem to take that interpretation yes. To me that is insane.
100
Frank Boerman @frank.boerman.dev · 29/11/2024
Yes but I don't think a comment should be personal data. Apparently some institutions interpret that otherwise
210
Frank Boerman @frank.boerman.dev · 29/11/2024
I know. I just disagree that a comment like I'm writing now should constitute personal data. If I put it on a public forum it should be copy able.
100
Frank Boerman @frank.boerman.dev · 29/11/2024
Okay I didn't knew that one but that is an insane overreach. Research into social media should not be hampered like that. That's exactly the overzealous edges I meant.
100
Frank Boerman @frank.boerman.dev · 29/11/2024
No but everyone can copy it or take pictures of it. Scraping is not stealing something. It's copying something.
200
Frank Boerman @frank.boerman.dev · 29/11/2024
Text vs picture. For the record I thing gdpr is a good thing. It's just that some overzealous edges need to be shaved off. This also goes on for example in insane permissions forms for medical data between doctors. Doctors should be able to share your dossier, they are saving you.
100
Frank Boerman @frank.boerman.dev · 29/11/2024
The fact there are multiple Internet archives that make dumps of social media and other comments.
100
Frank Boerman @frank.boerman.dev · 29/11/2024
Yes that is about pictures that is obviously personal data. I don't mean that any scraping should be okay. I mean that if I write a text as a comment on a social media its hard to see that as "personal" privacy data. You agree to put that text there so that everyone can read it

Frank Boerman @frank.boerman.dev · 29/11/2024
Well that's the joy of this platform right haha. having a discussion. I just find it a strange interpretation that is all. And yes I might be legally wrong, let's see if anybody is going to actually do something about these datasets. Personally I doubt it
100
Frank Boerman @frank.boerman.dev · 29/11/2024
Speeding is actually enforced. Nobody is chasing down random datasets around the Internet (unless it's a big company probably)
200
Frank Boerman @frank.boerman.dev · 29/11/2024
If i post something knowing it will be publicly read by everyone then how is it reasonable that i can complain if somebody actually saves that?
100
Frank Boerman @frank.boerman.dev · 29/11/2024
I just find it strange that if I post something to a public forum that that suddenly would be personal data. But I might be wrong then. Go ahead and bsky to close their api then. Because as long as that api exists people will keep doing this and ignore removal requests

Frank Boerman @frank.boerman.dev · 28/11/2024
Has there been a gdpr case on linkedin scraping?
100
Frank Boerman @frank.boerman.dev · 28/11/2024
Social media posts where people post content publicly
100
Frank Boerman @frank.boerman.dev · 28/11/2024
Not for this specific case.
100
Frank Boerman @frank.boerman.dev · 28/11/2024
Haha nice try. I am not going to do that. it doesn't matter what matters is the interpretations. Open ai also hasn't been convicted for scraping basically the whole Internet. Multiple suits were thrown out.people though at first that if was a huge copyright violation too.
110
Frank Boerman @frank.boerman.dev · 28/11/2024
You mean usernames? Aren't those always easy to lookup back? Bluesky api is very open
100
Frank Boerman @frank.boerman.dev · 28/11/2024
Maybe but obviously without enforcement people will do this regardless.
100
Frank Boerman @frank.boerman.dev · 28/11/2024
Not for such public posts has it? Not in NL at least I think.

That's not what the Dutch experts were saying but perhaps I misunderstood. Anyways interested how it would play out in court. Rules with no enforcement are just a suggestion after all. There are probably multiple such datasets of bsky floating around and it will only get worse
100
Frank Boerman @frank.boerman.dev · 28/11/2024
No having and publication is fine. It's public data. The problem is bsky doesn't make it clear enough everything you do here is public
200
Frank Boerman @frank.boerman.dev · 28/11/2024
If I save your post you can't delete it either. I just read a Dutch news article who interviewed a bunch of legal experts and they said the problem is bsky doesn't inform users correctly, but that downloading the posts is not a violation. So I guess we are both right a bit
100
Frank Boerman @frank.boerman.dev · 28/11/2024
But this is all dumped publicly by bsky. This dump is just an aggregation of that how does that suddenly makes it illegal? How can something you post suddenly be sensitive personal data? Then the vast majority of the Internet would fall under that. Curious of that would hold up in court
100
Frank Boerman @frank.boerman.dev · 28/11/2024
No they can request removal of *personal data*. Anyway again are you a legal expert? I don't think so. Curious how this will play out if anybody gets real legal people involved. Up until then it's just a bunch of randos screaming on the Internet which the autho should ignore lol
200
Frank Boerman @frank.boerman.dev · 28/11/2024
I don't really care how many people agree with something it can still be wrong lol. Unless you find an actually legal expert
100
Frank Boerman @frank.boerman.dev · 28/11/2024
What you post as a text is not personal information. All this info is public through the bluesky firehose.

2023 was a good year with even a high point of 55%! Hopefully that upward trend can continue in the new year! Renewables is defined here as the sum of solar, onshore and offshore wind, data from co2monitor.nl 2/2

Frank Boerman @frank.boerman.dev · 10/01/2024
Another year is over, so for a data analyst like me its time for some reviews of the past year! I have a lot of ideas in the pipeline, but am gonna start simple. Below a plot of the percentage of renewables of Dutch electricity generation per month since 2021. 1/ 🔌💡

000
Frank Boerman @frank.boerman.dev · 30/12/2023

I have also expanded my API system at aten.amunanalytics.eu to make this data available. Recently I also put out a call for people wanting to test my PromQl database with imbalance data. This Belgian data is also in there. If you are interested, send me a pm! 3/3

Some time ago I launched my live Dutch imbalance dashboard. Lets expand! The original dashboard was quite a hit, it even took down my server briefly! It was also very cool to make and see a real live indicator of the grid. So I am expanding this idea to other countries! 1/
