While preparing to digitise this manuscript from Gladbach Abbey, preserved by the #Bollandists (MS 72, 2nd q. of the 12th c.), I came across a beautiful, almost invisible horse 🐎, drawn with a drypoint pen. I love this job 🙂 #medieval #manuscripts #oldbooks

#Hagiographies, reliques, #rituels: ce vendredi conférence grand public sur les destinées de 2 villes voisines, #Mons et #Maubeuge, dont les origines remontent à des abbayes fondées par 2 sœurs. Qui a dit que les #Bollandistes restaient dans leur "sanctuaire"? 🙂
