It was a sunny day, birds singing, all rather surreal. By 4 am we arrived in Warsaw, tired, shocked, with Covid. There were 300,000 others

Decreasing asylum applications in Germany, my guess: this is a process of normalisation, still on a comparably high Level, after the Covid pandemic - pandemic-related low in 2020/2021, catch-up effect in 2023, normalisation in 2024
