I hated Mets off days during the season even though they sucked this year. Today is day one of MANY off days and we dont even know if we'll get a timely spring training because of the lockout. Sigh!

Jets weren't on TV again so I didnt see the game but it appears they at least had an offense today so that's good? I dont expect the playoffs or anything, I just want a team that's decently fun to watch, so Geno seems to at least provide that? Maybe? I'm too beaten down for expectations lol

For a last place team, the Mets DO have quite a bit to be excited for. 4 young pitchers with really high upside (McLean is already an ace), and having Benge/Ewing...as long as the Mets make the RIGHT tweaks (and don't overhaul EVERYTHING again like they did last offseason), there's hope yet!
