Young people in Ontario are already stretched thin and Doug Ford is making it worse. He’s lifting the tuition freeze and cutting OSAP grants, forcing students to borrow more just to finish school. You can’t build a strong economy on a generation buried in debt.

That’s what non-profit housing does: it gives people stability and affordability they can count on. Our Homes Ontario proposal is designed to build more housing like this, using public land and non-profit partners to create permanently affordable homes all across the province.

In Coniston, I toured the Elmwood building, a 55-unit apartment where rents are locked below market for 20 years. This matters because it means people can afford to stay in their community. They don’t have to worry about being priced out or losing their homes.

In a province as big as Ontario, there’s no reason the Eglinton LRT should be on its 15th year of construction with no opening date in sight. I stopped by Little Jamaica to see for myself the real impact of these delays: 300+ businesses closing and a community that was once thriving now struggling.

I stopped by the Skilled Trades Fair happening in #Sudbury & had a good conversation with the Regional Manager for STO Northwestern ON, regarding my request for more Skilled Trades testing centres. They heard us, and they are working hard to open monthly testing centres across Northern Ontario!
