A 2,000 foot chunk of glacier snapped off and dropped 4,000 feet in Nepal. The flash flood killed 98 people. 391 tourists are missing. 47 Americans unaccounted for. 19 bridges gone. This isn't a natural disaster. This is climate breakdown.

Can you hear this silence? #poetry #poem #writings #fragments

Can we sit like this
with words left outside the door,
like shoes we no longer need?

Can your silence
lean into mine
without asking what it means?

If I look at you
without speaking,
will you hear it anyway?

Can we listen
into the quiet of each other
past the edges of our walled garden,
until something deeper
begins to answer?

Or will we reach for language,
afraid of what remains unsaid,
even when silence
is already full?

Always you

I have waited for you through names I no longer remember, through bodies that turned to dust, through centuries that learned my patience.
In every life, I searched, with my soul.
waited, with whatever remained of me.
And even if I never find you again, let the universe know
there was a love so deep it chose eternity over letting you go.

Returning to quiet #writings #fragments

Returning to quiet

I need to borrow silence for a while,
to unlearn the habit of constant reply,
to fold my words back into my chest
like letters never meant to be sent.

The world has grown too loud
with versions of me I created
just to survive the noise.
Smiles I wore like uniforms.

I miss the older me,
the one who lived in pauses,
who didn’t explain every breath,
who felt complete without being seen.

I want to step back gently,
without drama, without defense.
Let me choose fewer voices,
fewer expectations wearing my name.

I want to return,
to the quiet place
where I used to belong.

Proof I was here #poem #poetry #writings #fragments

Proof I was here

I was just a small wave,
Rising once, then gone,
A momentary ripple,
Propagating through
The endless fabric of the universe.
No traces remain to mark me,
No heart to remember me,
Yet in that momentary pulse,
I touched infinity,
And it touched me back.
In that brief moment,
I was here.

across lifetimes #poem #poetry #writings #fragments

across lifetimes

I’ve met so many faces,
walked with strangers in the rain,
yet something in me waits,
for someone I’ve never met.

Sometimes I feel you near,
like a half remembered dream.
Maybe you’re my soulmate,
someone I’ve loved a thousand times
in lives I can’t remember.

Maybe you’re lost like I am too,
searching without a clue,
and one day, when time stands still,
I’ll finally recognize you,
the one I’ve always known,
the one I never knew enough.

Fragmented

Something shifted in me, slowly,
The light inside, once burning clear,
Now flickers faint with doubt and fear.
I lost something that day,
Something I still can’t name.

I walked away, but left behind
A piece of my heart.
No outward scars to see,
But I feel the blood beneath
Flowing from the wounds so deep.

Still I breathe, but not the same,
A ghost within me, stripped of name.
And though the world goes on, unchanged,
I know I’m not.
I have been fragmented.

Found Again

The time we lost!
The tears we shed
The dreams we couldn’t quite fulfil.
We lost the world we once both knew.
I wish things were different for us
But one thing’s clear,
My future now belongs to you.

No more space where shadows grew,
I found my missing piece,
It’s you.
And now you’re back, I’ll hold you near,
No more goodbyes,
You’re staying here.

Imagine more than 30,000 people living in a space the size of a few city blocks without central planning, zoning, or formal governance 🏙 This was Kowloon Walled City, an urban enclave in Hong Kong known for its stacked, improvised architecture and intensely lived-in spaces. 🧵⬇️ (1/4)

A dense aerial view of Kowloon Walled City in Hong Kong, showing a massive block of interconnected, tightly packed apartment buildings surrounded by more modern high-rise structures and open parks. Text says: An unregulated enclave located in Hong Kong, this became one of the most densely populated urban spaces in modern history. Kowloon Walled City developed without official planning, but not without its own social structure.
