Fraeswys felt extremely out of place in them around ARR but is more comfortable by now. Still a little bugged by having to eat more "properly" (slowly). When she does have to dress up past her armor she'd much rather wear a suit. Claims it's "more practical for emergencies"; also just likes it.

Fraeswys's bandana: -Functional: low-effort way to keep her hair out of her way for combat. -Design: easy pirate vibes. (Most important.) -Story: replaced a masked bandana during HW. Trying to hide her past hadn't prevented disaster, might as well embrace herself.

I was used to it and very picky (needed it to show Fraeswys's tattoo and be asymmetric for balance) so didn't find a new hairstyle until after EW. Lore-wise, she kept it cut short for practical reasons, then finally eased up a bit; change to brighter red is healthier + just grows out like that

Given my usual long turnaround, for DT I experimented with writing linkpearl calls to Aymeric for each zone visit and after major events *while playing*. Also not publish-ready, it turns out, may never be; but I had fun! Plus it helped with remembering and digesting the story.

I don't really have a lore reason for generally keeping Fraeswys's hands or at least fingers exposed. Mostly just character design - can be more expressive, shows her green skin (beyond her face) when much of it's covered by armor.

Besides canon, by the end of the Zenos battle in EW Fraeswys's consciousness was totally out of it, so her Inner Beast had to take full control to keep her going. They're on pretty good terms now, but Fraeswys is still a bit uncomfortable/worried about this part of her.

Fraeswys learned as a pirate to be ready for duty near immediately, and still mostly is. Usually sleeps in clothes, just has to tie her hair back/out of the way, slip into proper armor if she's got time, and she's good to go.

As a pirate, some level of honor might be right out to the elites, but Fraeswys has always believed in trying to live up to a code: Doing that, and becoming an adventurer instead, because it's how she could do the most good. Only fighting for a reason. Honoring the memories of those she's lost.

Fraeswys was too focused to be that impacted by most, did feel a lot of hope in Eden, but I think the most impactful was the joy of the Arcadion: less threat to the outside world, bit of a break from her heroic day job, getting to lean in to playing a heel and a pirate and enjoying the fights.

Fraeswys can wield a sword, but her technique's all heretical and wrong, not as effective as it could be with his. Aymeric'd have to find a slightly more reasonably sized axe. Can't see him unleashing an Inner Beast either. Definitely worse off.

Read once somewhere that historically not all sailors did, no clue how true that is, but so decided it was crucial lore that Fraeswys's pirate crew *did* train her and everyone to swim well. To try to survive, to keep fighting as long as they could. Symbolism!

ShB was a big check she wasn't invincible. Fraeswys did fine until Gulg but gave up after. She went to the Tempest because she'd rather die at sea and might as well do something, not out of any real hope. Suddenly missing Aymeric then pushed her to finally pursue him when she somehow survived.
