You could be right about that for sure. If that’s the aim, and that’s what ends up happening, then I guess I’ll eat my words. I definitely think there’s a chance that too many gimmicks could alienate some casuals too, though.

Ultimately all it does is increase the variance, and reduce the skill level. It might make it more fun for casuals, but it could easily go the other way as well.

That’s great mate. I too smoked everyday for ~10 years, had periods where it didn’t interfere with my life at all and I could function as normal, but it can also inhibit you in a lot of ways for sure. Still love one every now and again but definitely don’t miss doing it everyday.

Not delighted tbh, would’ve hoped and expected to play a fair bit better…but started desperately chasing rank from WC2 onwards, leading to decisions I wouldn’t normally make. Hopefully can cling onto an elite 1k spot anyway, and next season, the old Johnson will be back.
