My gf and the majority of my family are catholic. So the idea of me being in favour of the orange order is farcical and that’s why it works as a joke. But I shouldn’t have to explain that over the internet if you just listened to what I’ve been saying rather than sticking with an image you created

I played along with a joke other people started way before, and it was a joke that started because it was obvious I wasn’t that, otherwise it would be a strange joke You thinking I “deserve” to be insulted says a lot. Insults don’t help but escalate conflict and shut down constructive dialogue 👍

I’ll never defend the 12th as for unionism, meh. If the majority want to remain in the UK they should, if the majority want Ireland united then it should. But I think that decision either way should be made from what’ll provide the highest quality of life not based on emotion and tribalism
