#Air-cooledVW Pulled the engine for oil leaks and clutch issues. The throwout bearing was demolished and the main seal was leaking, when to the VW shop for some advice and parts. 12v flywheel, 12v starter, new throwout bearing, operating shaft fork and install kit. Grinding the transaxle is scary

#VWVans More on the shade tree repairs .. I think a lot of people need to give repairs a try.. Being old and poor helps learn new skills . This is the rear corner repairs on my 71, right side was eaten by battery acid and the left was crushed and repaired badly.
