F1 driver Stuart Lewis-Evans died on this day in 1958 after suffering burns sustained in a crash at the Moroccan Grand Prix. Here is a plaque to his memory just inside the church of St Mary the Virgin, Reculver, Kent. #F1Memorials

I’ve read that the LP Siren is 50 years old today. I bought this the weekend it was released as a young teenager. Same day tried coffee and peanut butter for the first time. Loved all 3 ever since. #RoxyMusic #Siren

Here’s his grave at St Katharine’s Church at Felton near where he lived at Lulsgate, Bristol. He was the first world championship driver to die, just a couple of months after the first race. He crashed while at the wheel of this Freikaiserwagen showing the family name Fry on the grill.
